The Owners of M.F.L. Entertainment, Jun and Kash formed Monopville in 2005. They wanted to make a super group, looking for the best from both worlds and they found it when they ran across Reese and Tommy. Reese and Tommy were friends who recorded regularly with each other as solo artists', but they had no intentions on becoming a group. But, Kash and Jun tempted fate and brought them together to establish an M-Ville sound. Reese and Tommy call their sound “Dancin†as it refers to the way they rap over a beat. “Their flows are so melodic while they dance on the trackâ€. Lyrically Reese tends to be more lyrical and aggressive with his approach while Tommy brings a cunning laid back flow saturated with finesse. Their versatility sets them apart from most rappers and their hunger to succeed places them on a cornerstone of destiny and success.
Reeseman Kackalack originally from Palmetto Varnville Projects, Charleston, South Carolina started taking rap serious at the age of 15. “I would freestyle on popular beats around the way and people would go crazy. So I started to get play on mix tapesâ€. Despite his up in coming fame in the streets Reese was forced to become his on father figure when his father became a victim to the streets, killed by gunfire. Reese’s mother packed the family up and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With the tragic loss of his father and his new role as man of the house Reese relied on rap even more as an outlet of his surroundings. Perfecting his craft in his new environment Reese was determined to make a name for himself. He spits every verse as if it was his last, elevating his sound by switching up his flows and styles faster than you can even imagine.
Tommy Stars, born and raised in the Logan section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has been immersed in music his whole life. Tommy is currently still residing in the rough streets of North Philadelphia focused on the mission that lies ahead. “I’ve been in the hood my whole life; I try to give my music life by focusing on things outside of glorifying drugs, guns and murder. It’s kind of like a dream, while your sleep everything is the way you want it to be but eventually you have to wake up. The guns, drugs and the murder is my reality when you’re from where I’m fromâ€. When Tommy raps you can expect the unexpected. He takes pride in every bar he spits with no other rapper thus far able to parallel his flow. With his limitless potential he is destined for greatness.
