Hmm, I dabble in a lot of little things - I enjoy theatre and art, but am also happy canoeing down a river! Love having dinner with friends, hanging out, having a few drinks. While I'd probably rather stay in on a Friday night and rent a movie, I also enjoy getting dressed up and hitting the bars and clubs. I'd say I'm open to trying just about anything once...ok, ok, maybe twice!
I'd like to meet:
Might be best if I lived in a cave these days.
Music:
So many bands, so little time! Off the top of my head: Jimmy Eat World, Sublime, Authority Zero, The Format, Franz Ferdinand, The Killerz, Green Day, Violent Femmes, Nickelback, Relient K, Dazy Head Mazy. Also like the pop stuff - Kelly Clarkson, Avril Levigne, Ashlee Simpson, Ryan Cabrera, (you'd think I was 16, not 27!) Oh, and generally I'm all for club trax..."The System is Down!"
Movies:
This is Spinal Tap, Empire Records, Eurotrip, 40 Year Old Virgin, Old School, Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers, Godfather Trilogy, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Team America: World Police, The Faculty, Centre Stage, Best in Show, Sixteen Candles, Can't Hardly Wait, Arsenic and Old Lace, and just about any Christmas movie...Noticing a trend of bad movies? Yeah, generally I like the cheesy stuff, though here and there I go for a classic, or something worth while. Movies don't always have to be about art - its ok to be about entertainment!
Television:
Don't really watch a lot of TV...try to catch Grey's Anatomy, and Ugly Betty, (yes, I love chick tv, I can't help it!) and Heroes. Oh, and if I can, The Daily Show, and the Colbert Report.
Books:
If Nora Roberts wrote it, I own it. Yes, sad to admit, but I do love me some trashy romance novels! Now, that being said, I also love Ayn Rand, Ray Bradbury, Orson Welles, Jeanette Winterson, Collette, Georges Sand, and the plays of Eugene Ionesco. Again, my tastes are pretty eclectic.
Heroes:
Heroes, huh? when I was a little girl it was definitely Wonder Woman! As I've gotten older, though, I'd have to say that has been refined. Probably my Dad and Stepmom. I don't know how they do it, but they seem to find a way to balance everything - family, work, friends, etc. Its amazing, and I really aspire to that.
