Well, let's just re-state what I've already said. I'm 20, female, and live in London Ontario with my boyfriend. We have four three cats (I miss you every day Kami), two rats, african land snails, madigascar hissing cockroaches, millipedes, two betas, three rosy barbs, three angel fish, a pleco, ever multiplying aquatic snails, and eight neon tetras. We're both vegan and have been for about two years.
I grew up in Calgary, not in London, and only moved here last September. I've had a difficult time settling down and making friends here, which has led me to feel extremely lonely and empty inside a lot of the time. I'm hoping to make some good friends once I get a job here. I desperately miss my friends in Calgary, from high school and from my last job there (Second Cup Newport Village).
I'm taking Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. I don't like it. In fact, I hate it. I have no urge to become an engineer, I don't enjoy the material I need to learn nor do I condone the field as a whole. I would rather see our society take a few steps backward to look at what we've done before blundering blindly onward in our masacre of the planet. If you do not agree, or haven't a clue what I'm talking about, read Ishmael by Daniel Quin.
The most informative video I have ever watched on speciesism is earthlings . If you have an hour and a half, I would strongly reccomend you watch this video.
Yes, I am a Harry Potter fan. No, that doesn't mean I'm immature or read at a low level. It also doesn't mean I dress up as Hermionie when I go see the movies in theatres. It does mean that I hate the movies the first time I see them, but am oddly drawn to buy them and end up not hating them in the long run. I'm one of those annoying people you hear walking out of a Harry Potter movie complaining that they changed this or left that extremely important bit of information out.
Some of my favorite places to go when I am out for the day include, Home Depot (come on, everybody loves that store), Used Book stores, Comic book stores, piercing parlours, tatoo studios, new age shops, cafe's, culturally-themed stores, pubs, parks, shows, and festivals.
