Artist Bio: THE HIGH PILOTS
Emerging from the garages of Santa Barbara, CA, The High Pilots are busting down the doors of the rock scene in 2008 with their debut album. The band's album, Every Night, merges Tommy Cantillon's fizzy choruses with straightforward sing-a-longs to generate a disc full of ultra-catchy gems. With standout tracks like "I've Been Thinkin'," the music of The High Pilots appeals to rock fans and non-rock fans alike.
Taking their show on the road, The High Pilots will be heading out across the western U.S. in late April and don’t have plans to take a breather until Thanksgiving. This band will, no doubt, be making a quick impact in their core tour cities. Benefiting from the ‘road dog’ mentality of Tommy’s previous band, who sold nearly 20,000 albums in 3 years of touring the country independently, ‘THP’ members Aaron Ray (drums), Steve Libby (bass), and younger brother Mike Cantillon (guitars/keys) will be seasoned tour veterans in no time. Though, Steve is no stranger to the road life, as he spent more than one summer as a part of the Vans Warped Tour, crossing the country multiple times.
Looking to tour smarter and not harder, THP will have the luxury of playing in front of hundreds of thousands of music fans this summer. They are performing six days a week at nearly 40 county and state fairs, reaching from Tucson, AZ clear up to Seattle, WA, and as far east as Salt Lake City, UT.
Set for release on May 20th 2008, The High Pilots will be available through all major worldwide online outlets including iTunes, Rhapsody, AOL, CD Baby, and through the band’s online distributor, Nimbit. Beginning May 1st, you will be able to pre-order your copy of the debut album online through the band’s website: www.TheHighPilots.com and their Myspace page: www.Myspace.com/TheHighPilots.
