About Me

I have so much stuff going on in my life right now, I can't keep up. So, let's start with the basics...I'm from rural southwest Virginia, went to UVA, go Hoos!, then moved back to southwest Virginia into hokie country and worked with Molecular Biology Research for a few years, which led me to my current position. My current job is something that I love and hate at the same time. I enjoy doing my work and actually really like most everything I do, but I travel constantly, so I hate being away from my family. So, when I am home I spend every waking hour with my Beautiful wife, Melanie, and our Adorable baby, Reese. Also, our two cats, Fry and Sheba and our dog, Vince. More than likely if I'm on here it's because I'm stuck in a hotel somewhere and Mel is busy with Reese so I can't talk to her on the phone. Anyway, Ventana wanted me to relocate so Mel and I just bought our first house in Cary, NC, and we really like it, but we still need to unpack. Reese is crawling all over the place, usually toward one of the cats or our dog. And, she's pulling herself up and trying to walk, not too sucessful at walking yet, but she's getting there. So, just had a baby a few months back, switched to a completely new and different job, as well as relocating to a new state where I don't know but one person(hey Tab!)...it turns out that's 3 of the top 5 stress inducers...I don't think you're supposed to have that many life changes at once.
Mais, c'est la vie...

My Interests

Playing with Reese is definitly number one! Reading is an interest that has really picked up since I've been traveling...I need book and author ideas people!
I also enjoy lots of different outdoor activities, Jogging with my dog, Vince, snowboarding, cycling, rollerblading. And I sometimes enjoy a good board game(scrabble or scattergories is always fun). But the latter interests are hard to come by these days.

I'd like to meet:

Wow...I meet so many new and different people everyday, I don't really think I want to meet anyone else right now. I'll stick to those I already know.

Music:

I like all kinds, except most country.

Movies:

Gattaca, the Original Star Wars Trilogy, The Princess Bride, Fight Club. I really don't have a chance to go see movies with Reese around. She's much more entertaining anyway.

Television:

Futurama, Dead Like Me, House, CSI (all of 'em), SG-1, Simpsons (old episodes), How I Met Your Mother, King of Queens...

Books:

Ok, lets go with authors...I enjoy the style of Dan Brown, Chrichton, Ted Bell, J.K. Rowling. In general I enjoy a good mystery or Sci-Fi. I've read and enjoyed most of the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, still have about 2 more books to go.

Heroes:

Yeah, I have some. Mainly people that can pull off things that I would like to.
As sappy as this may sound, I would have to say my biggest hero is Jesus. He could definitely pull off things that I never in a million years could do. Most of all he was an all-around good guy. I strive to be like that.

My Blog

wow, look at the time...

So much time has past since I've last posted one of these things.  Ah, who am I kidding, it's not like anyone actually reads them.  I guess it would help if I announce something like "New an...

Some things make it all worthwhile

Just wanted to put up a little something about Reese again. It turns out our cat, Fry, chewed up the cord that connects our camera to our computer, so no pictures right now. As soon as we get a card...
