About Me

Hailing from the windy city of Chicago, the No Assembly Firm is one of the premier duos in the house music industry. Dan X and Justin Long joined forces in 2002 and have since accomplished original and remix work for a long list of highly acclaimed record labels, including projects for Classic, Cajual, Junior Boy's Own, Robsoul, Music For Freaks, Aroma, Doubledown, Greens Keepers Music and many more.
Since its conception, the No Assembly Firm has produced and remixed well over two dozen projects including recent remix work for Derrick Carter, Cajmere, Greens Keepers, Style Of Eye, Iz & Diz and the Freaks. Aside from their vinyl releases, the duo has also repeatedly licensed their work to various mix compilations for fellow heavy hitters including Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Phil Weeks, Johnny Fiasco, Heather, Miles Maeda, Diz, Lance DeSardi and Yousef.
In addition to long hours in the studio, Justin & Dan maintain a busy performance schedule. In Chicago, the duo both play regularly at Smartbar, Zentra, Green Dolphin Street, Darkroom, Lava Lounge and more. On top of their Chicago gigs, Dan and Justin have made headlining appearances in Brussels, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, London, Paris, Kansas City, Boston, Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle, D.C. and New York just to name a few. These sounds and performances have captured a cult following and can also be heard in regular rotation nationwide on "The Move" on XM radio.
In the midst of their travels, the No Assembly Firm is currently working on a series of new singles for .Dotbleep Recordings featuring vocals from Heather, Honey Dijon & Diz, Collette and many more.
Aside from the creative and performance aspects of house music, both Dan and Justin each take part in running a record label. Dan works with house diva Honey Dijon to run Peaches Music, while Justin woks with 20:20 Vision to run his .Dotbleep Recordings imprint.
Its no shock that No Assembly Firm has become a staple in the Chicago house sound. With immense support from Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Heather, Paul Woolford, Natural Rhythm, Mark Farina, Yousef, Fries & Bridges, Miles Maeda, Diz and Raoul Belmans, their sound is constantly booming through speakers around the world.
As Justin and Dan continue to focus on taking their sound to new levels, one can only expect the best from No Assembly Music.
