The project
Ton sur Ton is a modern music project, wich produces electronic stuff by different influences. The project started middle 2001 with Ray Gordon (music, productions, backingvocals) and Ethan Kemp (lyrics, vocals) as Electropop Band. Since the separation of Ethan Kemp in summer 2005, Ray continues the project alone. Since then Ray produced in his Blue Room Studio for other bandprojects. Out of order he do some cd mastering workings for other bands.
Music
Thier own style defined by the charismatic voice from Ethan Kemp since he must left the band. But also without Ethan TON SUR TON bribes by warmly sounding melodies; refines out worked meticulously sounds and soundlattice that will placed in your memory after first listening.
An combination of harmonious elements, clear vocals, homogeneous backingvocals, driving rhythm parts and penetrating basslines appoint the productions from Ray.Statement by the german Gothic Magazin : Whole in the style of the 80s. Own experience and emotions will be rendered and it swings always easily melancholy with the music, wich do not drift in depressive moods. Concert history
Due to her musical versatility TON SUR TON not only completed concerts onto the "dark-szene", they could also enthuse at different large events. Concert highlights were firstly the appearance at the first Depeche Mode Fanzelten 2002 were also played bands like Camouflage, S.P.O.C.K, Covenant, Welle Erdball and second the appearance within the framework the MDF 1 birthday and new year's eve party (New Year's Eve 2002) at the Magdeburger cathedral place ago approx 10.000 spectators.
References
In december 2002 TON SUR TON became chosen into the final round of the largest alternative band competition. This competition ("Battle Of The Bands") becoming realized annual by the Sonic Seducer music magazine. TON SUR TON found herself in the locking charts onto place 6!!! Also in year 2003 TON SUR TON was in pre-selection to the competition below the best 50 chosen. That locking voting brought TON SUR TON on the 4th position. Since 2004 Ray worked for various productions for other bands. He created remixes for Psyche, Camouflage, Foretaste, F.O.D. and Victim In Vain.
