There have been many times where I have been wrong in life. Among them - 6th grade. I was sitting in a computer class. 30 computers were connected to a 14.4kbps modem, the only thing on the Internet was porn and Star Trek, and all the people I knew who had email addresses were in the room with me. I said, with the utmost confidence, "This whole Internet thing will blow over."

And now here I am. Creating a MySpace profile... but it's okay children. My resolve has only been softened by news of the 1 year anniversary of the $580 mil Ted Turner paid Tom, making MySpace part of the media empire that is News Corp. Also, the $900 mil that Google is paying work the search functionality. Any wonder if they're miffed about the fact that in May 2006 there were more clicks on MySpace than on Google? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
