Books, banging large drums, eking out a life at the bottom of the food chain, Art, Music, writing for a few magazines, living in Glasgow and chasing money for my various ventures but not having the backbone to make ridiculous demands. I occasionally buy books with lofty titles and let them brighten the room.
Any waifs and strays welcome.
Talking Heads, Kate Bush, Uncle John and Whitelock, Popup, Aphex Twin, Stereo Total, Velvet Underground, Nick Cave, Orange Juice, Endor
Three Colours Red (but not the band), Dog Day Afternoon, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, THe Idiots and Woody Allen when he was younger. But certainly not when he played Castro.
Neighbours, Channel Four News, How Art Made the World and that amazing documentary with shots of a wild snow leopard shot by a Glasgwegian that waited for three years in a tiny hut.
The Ice Palace (The Norwegian one), Notes from Underground, The Bible (although i've only ventured halfway through and am unlikely to find Enlightenment), any Paul Auster, Midnight's Children and preludes by T.S. Eliot (the burnt out ends of smoky days). Oh, I like to read the horoscopes by Shelley Von Trunkel in the Sunday Times but actually read the Guardian.
I'd say Truman Capote but they've just made a film about him so it's a toss up between David Cameron and Tony Blair.
