Sound Proof is a band from Malabar Florida. The band was originally formed in 1995. They were the typical metal crunch garage band with a flair for groove. Only two original members are still with the band today, guitarist Len Jenkins known for his ability to create jams and rhythms on the fly and drummer Rob Kaufmann the human metronome who has a John Bonham style. The band has evolved over the years plugging in and out musicians and influences to the current lineup. Adding much needed soul and power to vocals is Marcus Darnell. Marcus has amazing range and gives the band a lot more creativity and ability to create new music. Jay Tuggle is a master of funk and offers a unique style of bass to the band. Recently added lead guitarist Jose Garcia rounds out the sound with incredible innovation at playing lead. His style borrows from many of his influences from blues to jazz to in your face screaming melodic highs. All have divided influences and styles. Together these musicians present a brand of alternative groove rock that they truly can call their own. Their unique sound will compell you to want to hear more and more. Currently the group is working on a debut CD at Studio 101 in Melbourne, Florida.
