About Me

I got married in July 2005 to a wonderfully flawed man. Unfortunately, two weeks after the wedding he had to go back into the US Army. Two months later he was shipped off to Iraq. It was terribly hard being home while he was away.
But enough depressing stuff...for now. I pride myself on being somewhat of a movie buff. I like almost all genres of movies. I especially like sci-fi, fantasy, action/adventure, and comedies. I have a gift for knowing most main stream movies that have been made in the past twenty years or so...quiz me. Use characters, plot summaries, actors, lines of dialogue, and whatever you think could stump me. I like the challenge.
As for music, I really only listen to alternative rock. I miss my favorite music station in Atlanta, GA, 99X. They play the best selection of songs and don't play songs out like every other station I have ever heard (at least not as much).
Yes, I am originally from just south of Atlanta, Georgia but now I live in Denton, Texas (near Dallas). I moved after college to be with my husband. We've been here for almost 4 years now. No, I do not consider myself a Texan. I am merely a transplanted peach. And that's pretty much me in a peanut shell. Any questions? Ask!

My Interests

My main interest is movies and music.

Music:

Right now my favorite bands are Cowboy Mouth, Drowning Pool, Evanesence, Staind, Tool, Hinder, Seether, Stone Sour, and AFI just to name a very few.

Movies:

OMG! Where do I begin? Let's just say Kevin Smith ROX!!!!! And Quinten Tarantino, and George Lucas, and Stephen Spielberg, and I could go on for days.

Television:

There are so many shows I watch...I love all the CSIs, 24, House, Lost, both Stargates, Battlestar Gallactica, Survivor, Nip/Tuck, ER, Desperate Housewives, Smallville, Prison Break, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Gotta love those DVRs! I am drawn to dramas because my own life is so boring so much of the time.

Books:

For Christmas one year my mother gave me her old hardback copies of The Lord of the Rings 2nd edition and The Hobbit 3rd edition. All of them are in pristine condition for being over 40 years old. I am in the middle of The Two Towers...still.

Heroes:

My husband, my father, my brother, anyone willing to fight for their country and for what they believe in, and of course my mother.
