Ethel, was a loan-shark's mistress from Detroit in the 60's. After she ditched him for a better man, she relocated to the current address in Waterloo in 1994. Her sons Big Dan, Greg, Kypp, JR, and sometimes Vinay now work alongside their cute cousins from the north Diane, Wendy, Shannon, Christina, and Stacey.
She brought along her own world-famous cooking crew to recreate those famous recepies from the South. Crew Queen Karin, her guitar playing sidekick Gardner, Fix-the-sink Finch, Juke-joint Joey, Our own "Fiddy Cent" Wee Dan, Three-dollar Tuesday Taco/Paco, Marching to another tune Craig, Bif-Buff, super-mom Sarah, and Tha playa.
Your asshole greeter, "Know it? I wrote it!" and "One-can't-hurt", Glenn will always be happy to sit at the end of the bar and swap lies.
Because of our roots in Detroit we've recreated some of Ethel's favourite southern cooking such as BBQ ribs with homemade beans, pulled pork sandwiches, rajah, gut-bucket meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, and homemade desserts.
