About Me

My name is Michael and I am an Artist and Photographer. I specialize in photographing people and events that relate to things in the entertainment, music and fashion industry. I started my career as an illustrator doing drawings and paintings for magazines like: Woman's Day, Field & Stream, Today's Black Woman, and Black Men Magazine. In addition to commissions and portraits for companies, patrons & institutions. In the past few years I've recently branched off into Photography. As a photographer I've done things like CD covers, magazines and events in the entertainment and music industry. I enjoy the creative energy that comes from working around other creative people. When I'm not working, I enjoy writing one of the two books that I'm working on getting published. I like to spend my free time enjoying the sights and the culture of the City. Or a great evening out with someone having a great time with good food, good laughs and good conversation. My own interests are collecting art, traveling, a good movie, good music R&B, Jazz etc. Also Boxing & Martial Arts. My walk with God and Prayer are the foundation of my life. Since so much of what I do is visual I definitely find an attractive woman as my preference. But what's really the most beautiful thing is discovering how really beautiful a woman is on the inside. A woman with a big heart who's kind and affectionate with a wonderful spirit is what it's about, because that's the thing that never fades.

My Interests

Writing, Movies, Collecting Art, Boxing and Martial Arts, Drawing, Painting, Photography. Great intelligent conversation Reading and learning about new things.

I'd like to meet:

Companies, People and Businesses that need good Photography or Commercial Art, Commissions or Portraits. Models or Actors that need Headshots or Portfolios done. Potential new Model faces for some of my future test shoots, paintings or projects. Beautiful women who are truly beautiful people as well.

Music:

I like New and Old School R&B music, as well as contemporary Jazz and a selective amount of Rap and Hip Hop.

Movies:

I like a lot of movies both old and new, I like to study and watch classic films to learn things about the times and lifestyles back then artistically. But I like new movies to relax, have fun and escape.

Television:

I probably like sitcoms first because they give me a chance to laugh and unwind. I don't really have a favorite show because I don't always have the time to sit down and consistently watch TV. I watch shows based on what I need at the moment.

Books:

The Bible, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. Voices In The Mirror by Gordon Parks and This Life by Sidney Poitier.

Heroes:

Well in terms of people I admire and look up to, I tend to look at those who have either started the foundation for others who've followed or broke ground during times where it was seemingly impossible. My biggest two heroes are: Photographer Gordon Parks and Actor Sidney Poitier.
