About Me

Pollinates! Described as Eccentric, British, Electronic POCK (Part Rock Part Pop), this eclectic sextet are ready to rock, bop and pop your glock.
With influences that range from the likes of Lou Reed to the Flaming Lips its clear to see that theres nothing ordinary about this Yorkshire based outfit.
Based in Sheffield and stomping ground to the likes of The Human League, Moloko and Pulp youll find something special hidden within the depths of this rich, melting pot of talent.
Long periods of isolation and experimentation with computers and second hand instruments create the perfect recipe for kandid coloured, slippety rip pop. With their energetic live shows and a spunky reputation that seems to precede them, it leaves ample scope for their ever-growing fan base to reach new heights.
Sheffield now stands firmly on the music map and Pollinates are yet another medley of talent about to hit the big time. Their acute production of spunky and innovative rock and avant-garde pop can only be described as addictive, quirky and inventive with intriguing charm. Each member has something special to bring to the table right from the newest member and baby of the band, sultry Tori (vocals) with her draw dropping collection of vintage dresses, to a collective of handsome, tailored and equally talented gents.
Pollinates ooze a sense of familiarity and if you think you recognize them, its probably because you do. They have performed in various guises over the years, within each others pockets and have now found the perfect recipe as they currently stand and with the addition of the amazing Nick Banks (ex Pulp) on drums, things are just about to get exciting.
