About Me

i love to laugh. that is one of my favorite things in the world to do... and if you can make me laugh, you will earn a place in my world. i have a beautiful, awesome daughter named "taylor" and a miniature schnauzer named "dixie". no mountain too high, and no valley too low... whatever will come will come. these are things i am learning through my life experiences. i'm very independent, and i won't ask for help... but i do appreciate help when i get it. i am currently working with my dad selling air compressor parts. i shoot pictures for prep sports, weddings, and the houma courier on the side. i am also the communications director for the voice of the wetlands. i love my home of south louisiana and think that if it is lost, and entire culture of amazing and unique people and traditions will be lost with it. please do your part to help save the gorgeous wetlands that protect the place i call home. if you've never visited south louisiana, please do.. you will never be the same.i love to watch romantic comedies, and well, comedies in general. i can watch the same movie 100 times, and yes.. i do sit though commercials most of the time. i can recite most of the lines to the episodes of all 10 seasons of FRIENDS... and occasionally i get together with my best buddies (who also love FRIENDS).. and play the trivia game. i am an hgtv junkie and would love to find a house i can remodel and make my own. i love family get-togethers and a good crawfish boil and boucherie.... that's what makes life worth living... everything else is just lagniappe.

I'd like to meet:

myself when i'm sixty. we could sit outside of starbucks sipping cinnamon dolce' cream of buckwheat coffee whatever.. and chat it up.

yeah, she (myself) could tell me all of the things i did wrong and what i should have done and how to fix "the mess" before i get to be like "her"... and i could tell her how she should dress better and wear her hair different, then she would just blow me off as if she didn't hear me... yeah, that would be cool.

plus, i'd get to see if i would need to start using the face cream in advance.. ooh, she could probably give me advice on stocks too.. ooh, i could be a millionaire. hmm..

Music:

i only listen to music by neil diamond. no britney, no mariah... only neil. he is my hero. i almost listened to a michael bolton record once.... almost.

you've got mail, dukes of hazzard, smokey & the bandit, grease 2 (that's right... that is what i said), stand-up comedy shows, empire records, both ace venturas, sweet home alabama, the notebook, pretty woman, not spaceballs or kung pow, & a few others i can't think of.

Television:

friends, desperate housewives, house, gray's anatomy, american idol, 7th heaven, the cosby show, will & grace, seinfeld, everybody loves raymond, craig ferguson, and old nick at nite reruns.

Books:

my all-time favorite read is "the long road home" by danielle steel (no, it's not sappy... it's just good). right now i'm reading "bayou farewell... the rich life and tragic death of louisiana's coast" by mike tidwell. i just recently took a helicopter ride over terrebonne parish and saw how much land there really isn't down here. it's scary.
