Oh my God! Am I really still alive?

About Me

Yep, that's about it.

My Interests

Culture, counter-culture, science (not the fluffy kind), music, etc . . . Actually, it would be easier to list things I'm NOT interested in: Lifetime Movies/Hallmark Channel Reality TV(except The Flavor of Love) Modern Country Music, CREATIONISM BEING TAUGHT IN SCIENCE CLASSROOMS (including intelligent design)The list will grow as I ponder thereon.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a good idea.

Music:

Guster, Tool, Jump Little Children, BNL, 90s grunge, Every Time I Die, Postal Service, Beatles, Ratatat, Hella, The Police, Tom Petty, The Buzzcocks, Journey (oh my god yes), Xiu Xiu, Neutral Milk Hotel (Holland 1945 is my favorite!), Rumbleseat, U2, Stereolab, Frou Frou, Sigur Ros, Album Leaf, Aphex Twin, Steve Reich, Led Zeppelin, The Church, Tears for Fears, Bloc Party, The Notwist, Big Country

Movies:

Eternal Sunshine, all of the Wes Anderson movies, Wedding Crasher, Old School, Ghostbuster (best), Dodgeball, Zoolander, The Big Lebowski, The Goonies, PCU, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Pirates of the Caribbean, Crash, Magnolia, The Constant Gardner, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter series, Star Wars series (the latter ones are mediocre), ... remind me what I've missed

Television:

Adult Swim, Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons, CNN, the occasional trauma/ER show on Discovery Health, and the occasional I Love the '80's or 40 Most Un-Metal Moments in Metal History stuff on VH1

Books:

Right now, the Harry Potter series; previously A Walk in the Woods (anything by Bill Bryson is good), Freakonomics, The World Is Flat, Collapse, Hegemony or Survival, La Peste, medical history stuff.

Heroes:

Brian, the Eternal Sun God
