I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a 18 year old chick who loves music, literature, movies, skiing, rollercoasters and just havin a good time. I am happiest joking around but I also enjoy serious talks (especially about books, music and boys). I am originally from Texas; however, yes, I now reside in NJ, the Armpit of America (But it's my home and I love it!)...except when I'm at school, which is right outside of Boston. I have a wonderful chocolate lab named Willie, a fun-lovin stepbro and two BEAUTIFUL sisters. I am a communications and english lit. major.

My Interests

Music mainly (listening, alto sax, singing), reading, skiing (snow and water), dancing, talking on AIM, socializing, watching movies, writing if I'm really in the mood, enjoying a nice hockey (FLYERS) or soccer game.

I'd like to meet:

Fun people who just wanna chat. (Especially guys who are laid-back, thoughtful, not arrogant and have a good sense of humor. I'm a sucker for nice eyes, a gorgeous smile and a cute butt as well. You gotta be able to joke around with me and be a little sarcastic at times. And be real...no one likes a fake.) O and Orlando Bloom of course. Also, it wouldn't be so bad if I happened to bump into say Elijah Wood, Gwyneth Paltrow, Dimitri (yup...the guy from Anastasia) or my guardian angel.

Music:

The Juliana Theory, Brand New, Something Corporate, Damien Rice, David Gray, Switchfoot, The Ataris, Coheed and Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, Get Up Kids, Box Car Racer, Guster, Coldplay, John Mayer, Dashboard, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Yellowcard, Story of the Year, A Perfect Circle, Radiohead, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Deana Carter, Phil Vassar, Tim McGraw, Broken Social Scene, Copeland, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Frou Frou, Further Seems Forever, Iron and Wine, The Killers, Straylight Run, Mae, The Postal Service, jazz...pretty much everything except 95% of rap.

Movies:

LORD OF THE RINGS, The Sweetest Thing, Old School, My Girl, Cruel Intentions, Matrix, Billy Madison, ALL Kevin Smith movies, Office Space, Super Troopers, Out Cold, City of Angels, any Disney movie, Ocean's 11, Van Wylder, Anastasia, Pearl Harbor

Television:

FRIENDS, The OC, The Bachelorette, American Idol, Boy Meets World, Family Guy, Punk'd, Comedy Central, SNL, Full House, Wonder Years, Doug, Road Rules

Books:

Too many (I'm a lit. major...what can I say) but some good ones off the top of my head: "Eva Luna" by Isabel Allende, Nicholas Sparks, Yeats, Beckett, Anne Lamott, Jane Austen, Seamus Heaney, "Rivethead" by Ben Hamper, Hemingway, "The Sweet Hereafter" by Russell Banks, childhood favorites: EB White and Katherine Paterson

My Blog

The Passion of Christ

SEE IT!! Amazing...So incredibly moving. I was seriously emotionally drained as I left the theater. To watch first hand what Christ endured for us...his utterly selfless LOVE for such selfish beings....
