About Me

Click Here for the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire Home Page!
My name is Jamie, but you'll rarely hear me called that. I have many nicknames, depending on what character I am portraying at the time. I am a blonde (well, most of the time blonde anyway), silly Faerie (fairy, for you non-french types) who loves Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, has a Puddle for a best friend, and likes chocolate. I am afraid of cashews, cheesy spoons, being cowed, and a life without bonus cupcakes and shiny threes. I am also confused as to the true meaning of lasagna. (If you get any of these jokes, you already know me too well to be reading this...) I am a four year veteran and proud cast member of the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire in Wentzville. In the Faire, I am the assistant guildmistress of Le Guild du Fae (Faeries, for you also non-french types). I am in the Faire with my best friends, boyfriend, and parents. I believe in Faeries! I love to SING more than anything else in the world. I also love to read, and I write stories when I have the time. Christopher Chandler is my dear boyfriend, soul-mate, and other half, and I love him more than life itself. He drives 200 miles every weekend so that he can return home from college and see me. Our song is "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge, because it talks about Love overcoming all obsticles. Above all things I believe in love. I have the most wonderful best friend in the world, and her name is Laura, and she's gorgeous. PINK is my favorite color. I have 6 piercings (double in both ears, cartilage, and belly-button) and a pink tattoo on my hip that says "melme" (love) in the Tengwar Script of the Elvish language. That's pretty much all one needs to know to like or dislike me, but I warn you to choose wisely...my Faerie friends and I are very fond of an ancient way of utmost torture known only to mortals as "glittering". ::grins evilly::

My Interests

acting, ancient history, archery, books, cartoons, costuming, Christopher, elvish language, faeries, fantasy, fencing, film, glitter, hiking, horses, literature, lord of the rings, lore, magic, movies, mythical creatures, nature, pirates, rafting, renaissance faires, sci-fi, sci-fi/fantasy conventions, singing, star wars, video games, writing

I'd like to meet:

Professor J.R.R. Tolkien (were he still alive), Walt Disney (were he not deceased, like Professor Tolkien), and the two greatest directors on Earth, Peter Jackson and George Lucas

Music:

Pretty much anything but rap and country. I tend to prefer Celtic music and soundtracks from my favorite movies. And, of course, any song about Faeries. ;) My favorite soundtracks are Star Wars (all of 'em), Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings (all of 'em), Moulin Rouge, and Braveheart. I'm also a huge Three Pints Gone fan...yeah go ahead, say it, I'm a Rennie.

Movies:

Lord of the Rings of COURSE! hehe. Peter Jackson is the best director EVER! My favorite actor is Ewan McGregor, and I have many favorite actresses (Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchette, Miranda Otto, etc). I am also a huge Star Wars fanatic (but perhaps not as much of one as my boyfriend). I enjoy any swashbuckler or "Renaissance"/"period" fims, like Pirates of the Caribbean, Ever After, Princess Bride, Camelot, and Braveheart. I also REALLY REALLY LOVE movies about imagination and/or magic, like Hook, Finding Neverland, and Big Fish. Me and Chris's movie is Moulin Rouge, because it talks about love overcoming all obsticles. Sorry for my whole movie life story, but I LOVE FILM!

Television:

I don't watch entirely too much T.V. anymore, except for me and Chris's nightly ritual of watching Family Guy and Futurama together even though we are 100 miles apart (when he is away at college Mon-Fri). I enjoy Friends too, that's a wonderful show. My mom and I will watch Xena together when we get the chance, but not on TV because we have all the episodes on DVD.

Books:

*gasp* Ok nobody is gonna see this coming....Lord of the Rings!!!! YAY! I also enjoy the Harry Potter books. I haven't been reading as much as I should lately, what with bloody school and all...

Heroes:

My parents, my boyfriend
