About Me

Well, I'm still searching... for myself, the right career, the perfect town to settle down in and all that. But I'm keeping very busy in the search. AmeriCorps has left me with no obligations and a new perspective... so I'm wondering "now what?" Let's hope San Diego sheds some light on that question. I have a million ideas, but none of them will pay the bills. I just need to marry someone rich so I can volunteer the rest of my life.So who am I? A big question, one I hope I am unable to answer during my lifetime, (and maybe even longer than that) because otherwise, what the heck's the point of it all?
I like adventures, and try to search them out as often as possible.
I feel it is everyone's duty to try to see the positive side of things. I believe that we can change things by the way we think about them.
I prefer to walk on the sidewalk, even if it is unlikely that a car will drive by. But if I had my choice, I wouldn't walk near streets at all, but would be hiking somewhere in the hills. I am a hope-ful romantic just waiting patiently for someone perfect. I have a tendency to fall for guys with guitars. (The ukulele and piano have proven successful as well).
I like kids. A lot. I want some of my own (right now!) and if it wasn't for my two beautiful neices, I probably would give in and just have some, but I'll keep waiting, I guess.
I am often overtaken by moments of simplicity, watching a leaf float downriver, feeling rain droplets land on my cheeks, watching moms watch their sleeping babies. I love the sound of rain on the roof and cracking ice. That's the one thing I miss about Colorado, walking on the sidewalk crunching ice under my feet. But I don't miss the snow.
I don't like people who are inconsiderate or judgmental and I try very hard to not be either of these things.
I think our generation needs to get more involved with their communities. Go volunteer somewhere!!
I love to camp. I love dark chocolate and spaghetti, though not necessarily at the same time. I love the ocean.
