interests...and they have to be interesting interests, don't they. i can't just put chess. shit.here goes.writing (short stories, lyrics, poems, experimental norwegian shit, novels...or novel at the very least); music (listening, playing, seeing, distressing); the big music; books; walking in the rain; wine; wolves; ducks (specifically mallards); quipping; the autumn/winter crossover point (if 'my interests' may be approached so vaguely); whimsy; stripey things; dandies; winter warmers; runciple spoons; following the whims of my wanderlust; my friends (no, seriously. that doesn't include you though.)
i'd quite like to have met police sergeant howie in the moments before he was burnt alive by the pagan community of summerisle, but i think the conversation would have been decidedly downbeat, especially since i would quite stubbornly refuse to even try and save him. it would ruin the film. otherwise, i'd like to meet nick cave. the REAL lord of the dance.
this guy, hawksley workman, i would love to hang with. we'd drink whiskey in a churchyard and talk about music, lust, tobacco and chocolate. thats a perfect evening.
failing that, edward scissorhands. much more realistic. if you could count edward as a superhero, he'd be my favourite.
..last night i dreamt that somebody loved me; no hope, no harm, just another false alarm. last night i felt real arms around me; no hope, no harm, just another false alarm. so tell me, how long before the last one? and tell me how long before the right one? this story is old, i know, but it goes on. this story is old - I KNOW - but it goes on.

if by heroes you mean idols, i'd say nick cave (for pure godlike genius), hawksley workman (for standing up for smoke, whiskey and lust - three of my favourite things), christopher morris (for just being alive), peter cook (for having lived at all), stuart murdoch (for writing 'em like they used to), michael stipe (for providing a soundtrack) and nick drake (for what words surely aren't enough). actual heroes, there are sadly too few...but i'm sure they know who they are, even if i don't - to them i offer love x
