I'm interested in: who the Dems. are gonna run in 2008...supporting small business and buying things that are made with fair trade practices...learning new songs to sing to the many kids in my life as Twinkle Twinkle and The Wheels on the Bus get old after singing them over and over...finding the best places to camp, especially if my two dogs are welcome...finding a good Subaru mechanic as mine just retired...what it feels like to fall asleep without tossing and turning...learning how to make chicken and dumplings like my mom...finding out why my long haired cat refuses to groom himself and my shorthair cat is obsessive (her name is Maralyn and she was named after the ever famous Ms. Monroe... maybe I've answered my own question)...what people are reading...solving a NYTimes crossword on a Sunday...buying property in the country (Humboldt specifically) and building a cabin, maybe have a goat or two, some chickens and farm cats/dogs...someday becoming a Mommy (please God let me have a boy... I only want to worry about one penis not every single one in town!)...volunteering for good causes...exploring more of our world...learning to Salsa...listening to good music...having pot-lucks with friends (hey it's been too long since we've pot-lucked folks!)...learning how to say "No!" and not feel guilty...remembering to live life with a purpose and without being pretentious, judgemental or unkind (unless you can honestly say you love what Mr. Bush Jr. has done in his stolen term, then I say, remove me from your friends and expect burning dog doo on your porch.).

I like almost everything although as I get older I love to go see live Bluegrass music... there is something about banjo and mandolin pickin'that turns me on.

I got hooked on Top Chef... it was on Bravo last season. Addicted like a bad crack habit. I don't watch a lot of TV usually though.
Hemingway, Steinbeck, Anais Nin, Edna St. Vincent Millay, J.K. Rowling (damn Harry Potter!!!) Tom Robbins, Paulo Cohelo, Bill Bryson and Ursula Hegi are a few authors I seek out. I read so much and so often I would need a whole week to write down all of the fantastic literature I've read.
My husband :). My family. People that stand up for what they believe in and stand firm, even in the face of adversity and oppression.
