Kurt Schmitt was born in Kansas city Missouri, grew up in a very musical background. His grandfather played trumpet, keyboards, Guitar and studied with Glenn Miller right out of high school. Kurts younger days were spent in his granfather's old western town he created in Hillsdale Kansas. Many evenings spent front porch pickin and singin old cowboy songs. Kurts mother(Nancy) encouraged him at an early age with her beautiful voice singing in church. Kurt got his first drum set at age of 10 and nearly drove his parents crazy. Went to high school in Independance Missouri where he played in a rock and roll garage band named Flight. Kurt studied at UMKC conservatory before moving on to Branson Missouri where he started his journey Down the Honky Tonk Road. Kurt plays several instruments, Guitar, drums, bass, and some keyboards and is currently an upcoming singer/songwriter and is currently working closely with Lori Emory -personal assistant/ cousultant/artist developement So if your ever down the Honky Tonk Road slow down and give him a listen.......
