Myspace LayoutsI am an independent woman who doesn't need a man in my life to validate me! A woman should never love anyone more than herself. A woman with self-esteem is sexy and attractive. No one wants a loser. That being said; however, I LOVE men. I ain't no man-hater! There's just a big difference between "need" and "want". And, I don't "want" what a man can do for me because I can get the things I desire myself. I thrive on friendship, companionship, sensuality, and good loving! --- I am a loyal and dependable friend or lover. I'm always there for the special people in my life. --- I'm a spontaneous and fun-loving individual who enjoys experiencing new things and seeing new places. I am open-minded and enjoy conversing with other open-minded souls. --- Apparently, I love change. The longest I've ever had a Car, Job or hair color is 4 years! I just can't find the perfect one to commit myself. --- I enjoy being around people who make me laugh; so, a great sense of humor is important to me. Because when life throws you a curve, one needs to laugh to keep from crying! --- I am an animal lover. I'm known for "saving" strays. I'll even stop to move a turtle out of the road! Believe me, if someone hurts a defenseless animal, they wouldn't think twice about hurting a human being. --- And yes, I am a self-proclaimed Taoist. I believe life is all about balance and positive energy. Thus, keeping my spirit grounded. (Syntheism) No, I'm not trying to convert anyone it's just a philosophy that works for me. I think everyone should have something they believe in and believe in it whole-heartedly. Without HOPE, we have nothing.

My Interests

Interests??? Shopping, of course!!!! I'm an active member of my local Humane Society. (I do not trust anyone who hates, hurts or exploits animals.) And, PETA. (I do not eat veal or wear fur) ---MYSPACE! Ebay! Day trips. Dancing (Eventhough, it's not a pretty sight! I love to feel the music.) Clubbing. (Dance and Comedy) Being with friends. Reading. Studying Eastern Philosophy. (And, because of that I collect Buddhas.) I enjoy all types of music. --- I've even gotten into Nascar. (I know, it's even shocking to me.) I'm the much hated Jeff Gordon fan. I like him because he ain't a redneck. (Is it me, or does he look like Speed Racer?) That's another reason I like him, because as a kid I had a crush on Speed!

I'd like to meet others for conversation and fun! Let's get together! --- If you are under the age of 21, DO NOT contact me! (True, age is only a number but the LAW doesn't look at it that way.) IF you think you can replace my man...give it a shot!

Music:

I love Daddy Yankee & Pitbull. I also enjoy Urban music. Rap, hip-hop, and R&B. I love Jay-Z and have loads of respect for him. Mary J Blige, Beyonce and Gwen Stefani. (All of whom I think are sexy women!) However, Prince is my favorite musical artist of all time. I, also, like pop and alternative. (Love that Justin Timberlake!) And, I especially love the music of my teen years.....

Movies:

I would say SEVEN is my favorite. The Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey joint. I've seen ALL of Kevin Spacey's movies. He is truly a talented actor. I enjoy suspense, horror, and comedy. (Other favs...Sling Blade & Scarface & Swing Kids)

Television:

TV is poison for the idle mind! Seriously, I don't watch much TV. If I do it's Southpark, Cheaters, Mind Of Mencia, Inside Nextel Cup, Nancy Grace, Dirty Jobs OR any forensic shows on Disc, A&E, or Court TV

Books:

I read a variety but my favorite authors are: Alex Haley, Edgar Allan Poe, Douglas Adams, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Kathy Reichs and Nicholas Sparks. My favorite book of all time..."ROOTS" by Alex Haley. Even if you're old enough to remember the mini-series, you've got to read this book! It even inspired me to trace my own ancestral line. My runners-up are: "The Pianist" by Wladyslaw Szpilman, "The Good German" by Joseph Kanon, "Cane River" by Lalita Tademy and "Inferno" by Dante Alegheri. Also, the Tao Te Ching.

Heroes:

Casper Walser. Without his courage to leave Switzerland and come to the US in 1776, my family would still be in the Bavarian Alps! He came alone across the Atlantic Ocean to Philadephia to have a better life. Big Ups to my Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandpa!
