"Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body." - Elizabeth StoneSome gifts are big, others are small. Gifts from the heart are the best gifts of all.
.. Create Your Own“There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved.” ~ George Sand"I've been nothin' but myself since the day I was born, and if you can't see that it's your failin', not mine." - Ed Bloom (Big Fish)My YouTube site“I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.” ~ Oscar Wilde“Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one's thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world.”I believe that we form our own lives, that we create our own reality, and that everything works out for the best. I know I drive some people crazy with what seems to be ridiculous optimism, but it has always worked out for me. ♥ - Jim Henson"Those who are with you cannot leave, those who are not with you cannot stay." ~ Angela Williams said this to me, from someone who taught her a grand lesson! .."Most men, they'll tell you a story straight through. My Interests

Family ~ Friends ~ Theatre ~ Singing ~ Dance ~ Music ~ Art in any fashion!SOME PROMO PICS, HEADSHOTS & "JUST JACK"Promoting Autism awareness, spending time with my best friend/hubby, playing with my kids (The best thing in life = being a Mommy), embracing memories, living in the moment, looking forward to life, being silly, world peace (I know, sooooo "Miss America", but that's me), laughing at myself, being a cheerleader (to anyone, especially those who don't like me), learning as much as possible (like spelling), promoting tolerance and diversity, love and true friends (real kindred spirits). I must say, I have amazing friends and love them like it's my job! I don't enjoy the guys that hit on me (because they're always gross, hot guys don't hit on me, well... not often. lol)! I enjoy traveling, inside jokes, staying up all night having a blast with my dearest friends. I love it when my kids fart, they laugh so hard and so do I. I love the fact that my kids have perfect pitch and can name notes just by hearing them. I love the smell of newborns, patchouli, liquor stores (they smell like corks and wine) and Broadway Playbills. ♥ ♥ ♥ THEME PARKS!!! (You have no idea! It's nearly heaven.)♥ Roo & Taryn (Anne & Diana) ♥ ♥..I also enjoy RANDOM covers of RANDOM songs. I normally think that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" ~ but if the cover is REALLY different and fun... bring it on! :-)

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting new people and care deeply about all of my friends and, especially, my family! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ~~~~~ ABOUT ME: Hi There! Taryn Mallard-Reid here - thank you for visiting my personal site. I'm a proud stay-at-home mother of two, amazing & magical children - who both have the gift of Autism. They are my everything!!!!! I'm into Theatre - big time! I LOVE IT!!!! I've always been into the arts. Singing, acting, dancing, and playing guitar professionally with my hubby Tim. I'm also a happily married woman of nine years ♥ (yes, I got married VERY young) to my soul mate, fellow artist and best buddy - Timothy Reid. I met Tim while performing at the weekly "Cabaret" at our college. It was an open mic-type event at Hofstra University in New York, organized by other Theatre majors. I was a freshman Theatre major and Tim was a Sophomore. It was the first "Cabaret" of the semester and I took my old, crappy, nylon string guitar up to the stage and sang "Trouble in Mind" (by Janis Joplin) and the Jefferson Airplane classic "White Rabbit". At the end of the event, he came right up to me and said "We should jam sometime". Well, we have been ever since. I LOVE/LIVE to entertain at my little abode in Providence RI overlooking the Providence skyline on Sunset Ave!!! We own a karaoke machine and a gathering at my house always turns into a major singing event! I love playing and making forts with my children! I enjoy talking, listening, dancing for just for the hell of it, my friends, dreaming, anything bohemian and romantic. I love to cuddle, read, kiss, cook, workout (well... I don't love it, but I do it), music, pizza, writing letters (it's a dying art), learning and teaching (especially my children)! I practice random acts of kindness and senseless beauty (I know, you've heard that before - but that's me.) Some people think that I'm too happy and fake. That hurts me BIG TIME! I am who I am, period. I love life and live in the moment. I have a bumbersticker that reads "something wonderful is about to happen" and I belive it to be true. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one"- John Lennon (of course). A bad quality that I have: the need to please everyone. I want the whole world to like me as much as I like them. That's not possible, I know that ~ but I just care so deeply and wear my heart on my sleeve. People misunderstand me and I can do the same as well. Also... I can't spell. That gosh darn "spell check" has ruined my ability to remember how to spell words. It's just so wrong! I need to work on that!!! I INVITE YOU TO READ MY BLOGS (the original reason I joined MySpace) and I would love to hear your comments. THANK YOU! :-) I love countless musicals, starting with "Lestat", "Wicked", "Jekyll & Hyde", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", "West Side Story", "Evita", "Assassins", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Hair", (HAIR is my ALL TIME FAVORITE!) "Pippin", "Godspell", "Into The Woods", "Chicago" and countless others. I love "Grease" (mostly because, since I was a kid, I wanted to be Rizzo.) I love buttons, bumperstickers, Aslan, games, my brothers, Atari, Sesame Street, quotes, stories, walks, historical sites, School House Rock, movies, Anne, Janis Joplin, George Sand, Steph, Queen, my folks, David Bowie, my "sistas" Bek & Lau, The Cure, The Faria Gang, to travel, gosh ---- I could go on and on. Maybe you should come to my house and hang out. I LIVE for company. I love hosting parties like it's my job!!! I enjoy talking politics and being an activist. (But I also know when NOT to, sometimes it's a really BAD idea to discuss politics with your friends.) Sitting around a coffee table and trying to solve the world's problems is important, but I believe that you have to actualy DO something about it. I'm an advocate for the awareness of "Autism." I dream, that in my lifetime, the missing puzzle piece (that is Autism) WILL be found! And me, well.. I'm just plain loud, chatty, emotional, silly, proffessional, goofy, serious, romantic, a nag, a mush, organized, sloppy, together and all over the place. One thing you must know, however - if I say "YES" to you, you'll get 110% from me, no less. I call everyone "MY BEAUTIES" & speak in sounds (just like my kindred spirit Anne.) I love to say "don't postpone joy" - because we should live, laugh and love life each day, hour, minute and second. I have an open mind and embrace the differences in others. Another quote I say all the time is... "life is short, dance often."
