Why I am here....

About Me

Long story, no ending yet...I was brought up in Europe, mainly Poland, then Germany. I moved to Toronto as a teenager and spent 15 years in Canada. Then my travel bug took me to the Middle East... Why? Well, as all of you know Dubai is a booming city, so I decided to check it out...and I love it. There are ups and downs to every place, and although my heart is still in Europe, I do enjoy living in the Middle East a lot!As far as working...I do sales, PR, marketing...a few roles all in one, I work as a BDM for a publishing company. Have had some interesting experiences here in the job market, as I didn't move with a transfer, but rather on my own. There are many pretentious people in the world...I'm tired of meeting them. I know being in Dubai isn't exactly being in the most laid back place on earth, but there are great people here, from all walks of life. This place, this unfinished city, has something magical in it. Perhaps it's the arabic magic that captured me. It is however a very transient place, so meeting people who are committed to friendships and/or relationships is a bit more difficult & of course everyone here has a goal to fulfill. They say, you either stay in Dubai for 5 years, or 25 years. Let's see where my life will take me.Although I must admit, I prefer an island. Wearing flip flops and watching sunsets on a boat.
