I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am an easy-going, friendly guy from the Midwest, which apparently makes me "stable" as I was once told by a half inebriated Bostonian. But since I like life a little spicier, more diverse, and more unpredictable, I enjoy living out east. I've been in DC since May 2003, so that makes me pretty much a native, yes? I have a pretty zany and spontaneous group of friends that make it unnecessary to watch soap operas on daytime TV. As far as social situations go, I've already been through the "let's go out all night, but not start until 11" phase, although if you catch me on the right day I might tag along (hey, thursday's the new Friday, right)....so I'm much more likely to head out for happy hour. HOWever, if there's karaoke in da house, don't waste your time looking for me elsewhere. I have potential karaoke nights lined up for every night of the week, if absolutely necessary.

My Interests

Higher Education, Student Development, Sociology, Issues of social justice, Music (I play violin and love to sing in the car)

I'd like to meet:

Nice people and open-minded people. People who are personal advocates of social justice. People who know how to make a mean key lime martini. Actually, I'm not actually *looking* to meet anyone on MySpace (which begs the question "why did I create a profile?"). I just caved in to peer pressure and put something here so people would stop whining.
