EKUE

Super Producer Extraordinaire

About Me

The world is not ready for what this solo producer, on his way to the top, is bringing to the table. When it comes to music there is nothing this talented bomb waiting to explode, cant handle. Ladies and gentlemen, look out for the man they call Ekue, because he is on the rise.
Originally born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, he has been involved and successful in some form of music since the age of 15. From first place in his high school battle of the bands, to opening up for national acts, and getting airplay on local radio stations, Ekue was destined for stardom. Being introduced to an underground scene, at 16, where music was the only thing that mattered, changed his life forever. Instantly sucked in by the culture and expression of unique music, he began learning the art of Djing. Soon his eagerness to be creative and longing for more knowledge brought an emptiness that could only be fulfilled by entering a cult known as producers. With the help of some other creative minds, this diamond in the ruff adventured into a new world. Still wanting more, destiny brought him 600 miles from home, to Washington, DC to enroll in school for audio engineering. Learning everything possible, he found himself venturing into a new, more main stream culture... "hip-hop." With Ekues vast knowledge of production and fresh memory of studio engineering he fit right in. Having a strong passionate connection to both cultures he could not give either one up. So fate has taken him to embrace both, like split personalities.
"Music is my heart and soul," he says. So with the know how to dj, produce, and engineer, this man on his journey to experience life to its fullest, is set out to touch the souls of others as he was.

Sounds Like: Well it's a mix of every style of music known to man. Sometimes it's hard and sometimes it's chill. But it's always me. I write every last note, from the drums to the strings.
