About Me

Outgoing, humorous, energetic, and ambitous sums up quite a bit of my personality. I was born in California, but have lived in Reno for the past 13 years. My father was in the Air Force for 26 years so I traveled quite a bit while growing up. At 28 I decided to continue the family tradition and joined the Army National Guard. I am active in our community/state educating kids on the consequences of drugs. Needless to say, if it's illegal I don't do it nor do I associate with those who do. So, please refrain from e mailing me if you are involved in that lifestyle or if you are looking to promote your porn site. I come from a huge family and enjoy meeting new people. I have been divorced and a single parent for six years and am the proud Mom to my two children. I'm actively involved in my children's lives, which results in little time for dating and meeting new people. Then add a busy career on top of it, there's just not enough hours in the day. I'm pretty much a big kid and can be a bit quirky at times. However, I am emotionally stable, financially independenit, and secure in my career. After the tough blow of going through a divorce, I am finally ready to settle down again. I am definitely looking forward to finding that special someone, but unfortunately my travel schedule makes it a bit difficult at times. My biggest hobbies are traveling, snowboarding, biking, tennis, running, water sports, and just about anything outdoors. I also enjoy cooking, entertaining, a great BBQ with friends and family, crafts, and simply relaxing from time to time. I appreciate the simple things in life and I usually have fun no matter what I do. Well, enough about me, how about you?

My Interests

I enjoy a healthy lifestyle and one major interest I have is working out daily at the gym. I love to travel, snowboard, explore new places, meet new people, and spend time with my family. I really just enjoy having fun!Overall my motto is work hard and play hard.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people who are interested in a similar lifestyle with a passion for life. Also, I would love to hear from my old friends from Bitburg, Germany (1989-1991).

Music:

I am pretty flexible when it comes to music. I enjoy listening to country, alternative, hip hop and classical. I'm just not a big fan of techno, twang, or tear in my beer kinda music.

Movies:

I am the worst person in the world to try and talk to about movies. I try to watch one every 3 months, but tend to fall asleep about 5 minutes into it. I am a busy body so when I quit moving I crash. If I start to watch a movie before 5pm then I'm ok, but if I watch one anytime after that then it's almost a guarantee I'm going to fall asleep. So, needless to say the punchline movie jokes tend to sail right over my head. However, I did go see In Pursuit of Happyness and We are Marshall recently. They were both awesome movies.

Television:

I don't usually watch a lot of T.V. If I do I find myself watching COPS, Trauma Life In The E.R., or some kind of A&E detective story. I also love stand up comedy or anything that brings a good chuckle.

Books:

This ranks right up there with movies. For the most part I read for education. My career requires that I constantly read, however, if I do read for pleasure, which is pretty rare, I usually read a motivational biography. The last book I read was Unlikely Angel, the story about the Georgia hostage who convinced a murderer to let her go. It was an awesome book. I also just finished reading In Pursuit of Happyness, the Chris Gardner story. The book is much better than the movie.

Heroes:

My biggest heroes are my three brothers.
