About Me

Below is the playlist for our June 6th gig! All songs are included. You can change songs in the player.
Runa Los Atta.
The greatest band ever.
Aaron Weeks.
Michael Hilden.
Jon Wright.
Blotches the Yellow See Monster.
Runa Los Atta started in 2005, when Michael and Aaron decided to form a band. At that time, neither member knew how to play their instruments, nor did they own them. They decided to get Alex Coles as their drummer, who also had no idea how to play, nor owned a drum set. Great idea!
After a month or two, Aaron and Michael were trying to come up with a name. A few ideas were exchanged, then Michael typed random letters without looking. What resulted was: Runa Los Atta. That was September 11th, 2005.
Aaron and Michael got their instruments, and lessons, and Alex got a Borg. They were ready. One problem: They sucked.
The Coles' House Sessions was their first release. It consisted of mostly White Stripes covers and a Tegan and Sara cover. All songs were played by only Aaron and Alex, except for a version of Seven Nation Army, with them and Michael, and Jentry Speck on guitar.
Next up was Jimmy Valentine: The Man From The Lower Regions. An EP that was never properly completed. Four songs, two recorded in April 2006; the rest, recorded in June/July 2006.
The band decided to record a proper EP, for releas on their one year anniversary. The result was Cpt. Fidget's Chemically Altered Jam Band. Four real songs of everyone in the band, decent ones, too. The EP was mildly successful.
Six months passed, not a practise in sight. But then, a new idea. An entire album. Originally named "Freaky Tiki" by Alex. Most of the recording took place in March thru May 2007, with additional overdubs continuting until the day before release. The LP was titled "Runa Los Atta Goes To Tickle School", name coming from the song "Tickle Bus".
The album was released with good reviews, with people as far as Texas asking for copies. Even Simeon from Silver Apples (a legendary 60s electronic band) and Adam from One Cut Kill (both bands from the Gifted Children label) wanted copies. This album is just a sample of what to expect from Runa Los Atta in the future.
After the death of drummer Alex Coles, Runa Los Atta has been working on a few projects including Runa Los Atta's Adventures with PSS-270 Yamaha VoiceBank. They recently released their newest EP, Masters of Mid-Tempo Rock, with their b-sides album Blotches the Yellow See Monster. They have now acquired a Jonathon Wright as a drummer and are playing in Frankenmuth June 6th and anywhere else they can find.

Runa Los Atta Goes To Tickle School
2007

Runa Los Atta Goes To Tickle School is Runa Los Atta's debut album. Released after 6 months of work, this album is a weird collection of music and noise. Features Kevin Reinwasser on a track, improvisation everywere, and 20 minutes of Coles laughing. It is also the last release with active participation from Coles.

Blotches the Yellow See Monster
2008

Originally started as an album telling the story of the See of Blotches, it turned into a collection of b-sides after nothing was being accomplished. It features a wide range of genres and instrumentation, with jams as long as 15 minutes. It was released packaged with Masters of Mid-Tempo Rock.

EPs

Cpt. Fidget's Chemically Altered Jam Band
2006

This is the first physical release of Runa Los Atta. An EP recorded and released within 4 days. The recording session was also the third ever meet of the band. Features a cover of the Arctic Monkeys' "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor", and improvisation and confusion that turned out okay.
An alternate version was also released during a gig at a party. It was labeled only "Runa Los Atta - Demo", and had enhanced sound and a revised track order.

Masters of Mid-Tempo Rock
2008

Masters of Mid-Tempo Rock is the first release (besides singles on the internet) from the new, improved Aaron and Michael only Runa Los Atta. It has good songs with good quality sound and none of it sucks. There's even a story for you all! It was released with Blotches the Yellow See Monster.
