genuinely nice people, no soul sucking meanies please...I don't need to meet anymore people that blame the people around them for their woes...bitterness gets us nowhere. No haters!
this could be a huge huge list of bands...but let's just say this, when I was in highschool I saw Sonic Youth play live at a local college...I called the box office everyday until I had tickets in hand, then went to the show with my friend Amanda...they were amazing of course...and I was most impressed when Kim Gordon came out on stage with a home made pink t-shirt that said...girls invented punk rock, not England. It was one of those inspiring moments that I will always remember. I used to be a DJ at my college radio station. I've witnessed the rise and fall of indie rock. I believe that music can change a person's mood, change a person, and change the world. Oh and I must also add that I heart Blonde Redhead but that is in no way saying that they are my favorite band but I'm not saying they are not either, depends on when you ask me really.
Ladies and Gentlemen...the Fabulous Stains, any of Hal Hartley's movies, Velvet Goldmine, Almost Famous, Royal Tenenbaum's, West Beirut, and in ode to my love...the Back to the Future Trilogy
I don't watch much of it these days but I'm super engrossed in Lost. I also like Seinfeld the show not the person, That '70s show, and I love Pink Panther cartoons...aside from that I have a lot of animosity towards the TV...
