In order to help one better understand more "about me", it might be easiest for me to tell you about the things I do not like and things that I do. Here are the things that make me grind my teeth and roll my eyes: pedestrian traffic, peanut butter, people who incorrectly use apostrophes, babies with pierced ears, the wet spot, corn-riddled feet (seriously, file that shit off), faux mashed potatoes, splinters, people that get on the subway before I have gotten off of the subway, pulpy orange juice, any color Sox, the buboes, waiting in line, waiting in line whilst having to urinate, the heartbreak of psoriasis, blisters, people who want you to bask in their glory because they do not own and/or do not watch television and tell you they do not own and/or do not watch television at every opportunity, Katie Couric's legs, tapered-leg denim, acid wash denim, Republicans, math, freezing rain, people that do not keep to the right, raisins, your hair, pimples that rear their ugly heads the same day as the big dance, people that do not know how to use the MetroCard machine, student loans, bad spelling, shitty customer service, smug foodies, hair extensions, anesthesiologists, rodents, pollen, formal shorts, those Digger the dermatophyte commercials, other people who smoke, people who order "g and t"s, gin and tonics, rising gasoline prices even though I don't drive, the first five minutes after I am awoken by something other than my own choice, the T-Mobile Sidekick, banana clips.

Things that I do like: history, gum, Altoids, label makers, bad wigs, dogs, television, non-pulpy orange juice, vodka, specifically Ketel One vodka, Tim Burton, passions that are white hot and unrelenting, lip balm, earrings, good grammar, well made shoes, fools for love, cheese, the city of Savannah, the city of New York, the Weekly World News and its patron saint Batboy, Camel Lights, punk music, rock music, winter beaches, sleeping, sweet sweet love, the Yankees, my ex-dog Chicken, my sister's dog Spike, gay men, brunch, hardware stores, when people hold open the door for other people, diet Coke, gossip, In Style, the term "fruit flies" instead of "fag hag", steak, the Bills, ravioli, very dirty vodka martinis, Trivial Pursuit, Ben Hamper, true crime, efficiency, money, bad movies with good actors, bars, the second real snowfall of the winter, finishing my Christmas shopping early, the first day you can wear open toed shoes in the spring, the delicious decline of the boho-chic look, milk, kicking it old school, Corner Bistro on Jane, deep conditioners, watching people unsuccessfully limbo, Puffs plus, edamame, iced tea, blue-based reds, clever packaging (I'm a sucker), the Lotus Club, sea salt, the fruit of my labors, hair dye, sticking it to the man, espresso, nail polish, marine biology, Long Island wines, good hair, foie gras, hollandaise, Rent, fresh bread, sawdust, the phrase "open bar", non-profit theater, laptop computers.
