About Me

One of Kind! (lol I hear that a lot). I am crazy in love with my high school sweetheart who I am now happily married too. One new little baby boy (Alexander Orlan) born Oct 12th, 2007.I also love tv news.. but not crazy news directors. Though that industry is not very condusive to being with hubby (2nd shift sucks) so NOW I have a 9-5 job as a marketing associate with a publishing house. But we are moving home soon so this is all about to change!I believe in doing little things everyday to make someone's life better... I love to smile at random ppl I dont know and to help little old men and ladies. Scatterbrained! Thats me.. I never know where my keys are... or my cell phone. Anyways thats enough!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ewan McGregor (such a hottie!!!); John Updike, and George Bush (the entertainment factor would be high on the last one)

Movies:

Top Five (no particular order): Braveheart, Mallrats, Cool Hand Luke, LOTR (yeah i know its a trilogy.. but it's my list and I'll do what I want), and Moulin Rouge Also saw Jarhead and really like it along with Radio and Star Wars

Television:

I'm not so big on TV which is kinda ironic since I used to work in TV news. I do enjoy Food Network (Racheal Ray Rules) and CNN occasionally. I used to be completely addicted to the show Alias but I havent seen it in a while. I was so disappointed when Jennifer Garner decided she wanted J-Lo's sloppy seconds.

Books:

Wow! Where to start. I love Fantasy. Mercedes Lackey is one of my favorite authors. A great love story is Diana Gabaldon's "The Outlander Series." The characters in that series are so believeable and its not some silly, sappy love story. I work for a publishing house so I enjoy reading the diverse titles we put out (Baptist Theory, Civil War, Southern Heritage Stuff) I minored in Lit in college and love all Brit Lit. The Bard (Twelfth Night) along with John Donne and Milton. I really enjoyed Life of Pi and Shutter Island. Basically, I read anything I can get my hands on.

Heroes:

My Dad. Hands Down. He is the single hardest-working person I know. He always took time out for me and made me feel important. He's just amazing. Andy. I mean can a man really love a woman as much as he loves me. I am adored. He pushes me to do things I would never accomplish by myself. he knows when to fuss at me and when to encourage me.. and I am a better person for being graced by his love and affection. (he aint got it bad either- rofl)

Sorrowful Musings

Nancy Reagan called it the Long Goodbye. I think she got it right. Though on the other hand those words don't quite convey the agony and sorrow of watching someone's mind be eaten away by Alzheimers. ...
