About Me

Super-fun and genuine. Did I say super-fun? So I'm laid back with nothing to prove. What you see is what you get. It's funny how many people are uncomfortable with that concept.I have a weird obsession with cleaning the kitchen. I love design shows (anything HGTV) even though I don't have a design gene inside of me. I love the holidays, if for nothing more, because of all the decorations. I love to decorate for holidays.I just got a job at the Apple store at Old Orchard Mall (I have a good feeling about being there, so let's see how it goes), but I still bartend on the weekends.I have a great family that I'm really close with. Donnie is my super-awesome boyfriend that puts smiles on my face more than he knows (and he's a really good cook too!).Daytime TV sucks (except Golden Girls....they are the best!) except for a few random exceptions. Thank God my metabolism runs on high because I love to eat, although that theory is currently being tested. UPDATE: I really haven't worked out since last October, and I've kept my shape! I really thought I was going to get fat : )

My Interests

Donnie! Bike riding, relaxing with a glass of wine and friends, good meals, walking along the lake, working out, hanging with my Mom and Dad, and Oma.

I'd like to meet:

Genuine people

Music:

I like it all! My mood decides the music I listen to.

Movies:

Serial Mom is my all time favorite, and the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a close runner up! 28 Days Later, Latter Days, The first Harry Potter movie (I know, I know). I just saw Pan's Labrynth and give it extremely high marks. Not a huge movie buff, so as I think of them I'll add them.

Television:

First off, let's just get out that I love So You Think You Can Dance and Big Brother! I never thought I would have gotten sucked into those, but alas! Project Runway, The Biggest Loser, Wife Swap, Golden Girls (love this one to tears), The Amazing Race, Check Please!, Anything PBS or History Channel, whatever is on that looks interesting.

Books:

Watership Down, The Trouble with Islam Today, The McDonaldization of America, Fast Food Nation. I love sociological and historical books. I recently read German Boy by Wolfgang Samuel and Abandoned and Forgotten by Eva Tannehill. They are both excellent books about a subject that not many people are aware of. I highly recommend them both.

Heroes:

My Mom and my Oma
