About Me

i'm a mendicant, bedoin, hobo, prankster, loafer, waundering, useless, lazy bum. occasionally i disquise myself as a professional firefighter. i use to be a blunderite, but turned in my card years ago after spending too much time amongst other blunderites. i'm married to the lovely sherry (aka:shoshi, aka: yamuna), the only woman crazy enough to spend more than a few minutes in my company. together we have waundered through all fifty states, several european countries and recently nova scotia. i have also blundered through israel, egypt, pakistan and nepal (on a bicycle). my life long dream is to become totally and utterly lost. my wife suffers me bravely, but shakes her head, with that strange puzzled look, that wives are so good at making. i have a fetish for comma's and run-on sentences. i also like to leave out... when i write.....i mean words out. these hobbies also invoke the look. welp, i'll leave it at that. i assume this survey will cover the rest my oddities.

You're Loosely Based!
by Storey Clayton
While most people haven't heard of you, you're a really good and interesting person. Rather clever and witty, you crack a lot of jokes about the world around you. You do have a serious side, however, where your interest covers the homeless and the inequalities of society. You're good at bringing people together, but they keep asking you what your name means.

My Interests

listening to music, eating fine foods (the stranger the better), drinking fine wine and fine beer, cooking and waundering aimlessly. doing any or all of these things with my wife and friends makes for very goodly time.

I'd like to meet:

no one and anyone. i've met several famous people and know a folksinger or two personally. i've found that if you introduce yourself to famous people they are usually glad to talk to you. i've done it on several occasions and come out of it relatively unscathed. the thrill does wear off quickly though and not much comes of it.

Music:

cheapsuit serenaders, holy modal rounders, tom waits, captain beefheart, woody guthrie, jack guthrie, ramblin jack elliot, bill nettles, uncle dave macon, patti smith, maybelle carter, edith piaf, eartha kitt, dorsey dixon, the fuggs, the dead, sarah lee guthrie & johnny irion, the mammals, vance gilbert, bob marley, desmond decker, peter tosh, bunny wailer, mahalia jackson, the staples singers, ritchie havens, pete seeger, dave van ronk, frank zappa, klezmorim, the flying bulgar klezmor band, ramsey midwood, the new orleans klezmer allstars, neville brothers, proffessor longhair, dr. john, rebirth brass band, dirty dozen brass band, the original blind boys of alabama, the blasters, mojo nixon, dash rip rock, new duncan imperials, paul robeson, chistine lavin, umelt, rev tor band, albert collins, buddy guy, gatemouth brown, elizabeth cotton, sonny terry and brownie magee, huddie ledbedder, folk uke, john prine, ralph stanley, charley patton, ten years after, csn&y, the dillards, norman blake, mickey katz, david lindley, and arlo the list is endless..... and pretty much any blues, jazz, counrty, gospel, folk and apalachian recorded before 1930.
