This is probably where I'm supposed to say how "laid back" and "drama-free" I am and list a bunch of meaningless Myspacisms that would give you no sense of who the hell I really am, but I'm just going to keep it real. Feel free to skim.Born and raised in LA, I spent about 8 years in Berkeley before coming back to LA for law school, so I have an interesting mix of narcissistic yuppiness and radical idealism. The San Fernando Valley is the place I call home, but the Bay Area comes in a close second.I recently started working as a litigation attorney in what I consider to be the best law firm in LA. I love my job and the people I work with, but my deepest fear right now is that I won't measure up. Of course my second biggest fear is spiders. I'm probably the biggest arachnophobe you will ever meet. To say that seeing a spider makes me run around and scream like a little girl would be a disservice to little girls everywhere.People ask about my ethnic background sometimes. I get a pretty frighteningly wide array of guesses, but I'll spare you the effort: I'm essentially assorted European and Native American. I think there are a couple lil' other things in there too, but my family isn't exactly "intact," and I don't speak to anyone old enough to know about that stuff. I love hanging out with my law school cronies - a few of them I believe will be friends for life. Those bastards, plus a few gems from the past, and my immediate family (in all its splintered factions) are really important to me, even if they don't always know it.. I've become fairly interested in politics, but I despise the two-party system and refuse to buy whole-heartedly into either side's creed. There are a few politicians I admire in each party, but the only vote I've ever cast was in 2004. It may as well have read "against Bush."I went to Catholic school and have been baptized and confirmed, but I do not believe in God. At least not the Judeo-Christian notion of a God. I'd love to learn more about both Hinduism and Buddhism, but I'm too lazy.I've had a lot of bad shit happen to me in my life, a fair amount of which I've brought upon myself through my own mistakes. But I've usually been able to find the silver lining and take something positive from each experience. Some of the worst things I've been through have had the greatest positive impact on making me the man I am today, and I'm truly grateful for that.I really want to be successful in the career field I've chosen, and I'm down to work my ass off to get there. But my main goal and priority in life is just to be a good father and raise a happy, healthy family. I mean, not yet, if possible... but soon. I'd love to be able to give my kids all the things I never had growing up. Anyway, despite my best efforts, I don't think it's possible to fully describe oneself in a few paragraphs on a slutty website, so if you wanna know about me just hit me up and say hi.
