Music. Theatre. Art. Sharing. Oh, and food. Yum.
As much as I hate to admit it these days (and my valiant cries of hatred for the human race), my fickle self knows that I really do like people in general. Despite their most depraved indifferences about the situations and the lives that surround them... Most people can prove to be worth listening to, simply because of the fact that you are more than likely to learn something more about the world. I like that.
You have been marked on my profile map!
Yes, please. I listen to a lot of different stuff. I take a hip-hop class (go lil' white girl, go!), so I've been learning some things I never thought I'd know about lyrics, and bleeping out, and amazing production. But really at heart, I love those singer/songwriters of the world -- Billy Joel, Carole King, Ben Folds, Tracy Bonham, Tori Amos, Jill Sobule, Fiona Apple, and the above beloved Alanis -- way too many to mention. Low on production funds myself, I think they just feel like home to me. Just found Regina Spektor this year, thanks to Dunegan.
I just saw a movie about birds today. Despite my lack of interest in the boring Frenchman's descriptions of migration, our cat was simply enthralled with the screen. Favorites are usually books first, movies second. I like good stories, plain and simple. Brett just reminded me of Lost in Translation. Thank you for that. Good stuff.
Did someone say "Law&Order?" (My terribly guilty pleasure. It's better than ice cream. Or at least damn close...)
Finally made my way through Memoirs of a Geisha. Good stuff. Check it out. Attempting to start (and restart, and restart again...) Wicked once more. Let's do it. Getting beyond the part about everyone thinking she's from the devil 'cause she's green is a toughy. (Hey, I'm pale. Doesn't make me a vampire. Or Goth, Evar...)
