MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE
L-O-CThe acronym L-O-C stands for Lyrical Obstacles in Concrete. Lyrical refers to spoken words from the heart and soul of man. Obstacles are a part of life with no respect of person, age, gender or race. Concrete is impenetrable without the correct tools. Daily, I strive to make a difference in the lives of others by freeing my words from concrete so that others can feel connected to something larger than themselves. Hip-hop and rap are like breathing, eating and sleepingthey are essential for my survival. Coming from a small town in S.C., I incorporate every stage of my life in my musicfrom small boy living on a dirt road to a grown man with ambitions, hopes and fears.
Currently, I am looking for recording, performance and career opportunities with major or independent labels. I have completed several albums and have included a demo for your review. I have live performance experience, and I am completely comfortable on stage sharing my message and engaging the audience. I have also won several talent showcases and local performance awards. My music tells a story and allows people to reflect on their own lives and relate on a personal level. I describe my music as music from an old soul. I have experienced so many challenges over these past 26 years that the old man within comes out in my rhymes. I draw upon his memories for inspiration and guidance in order to communicate with the listening audience. My story is that of so many other people, yet our story often goes untold.
My career plans at this point are to sign with a record label that will be able to take my music to a broader audience and benefit from the God given creativity that is within. I am dedicated to this art form and spend time daily perfecting my craft. I have been writing lyrics, freestyling, creating beats, hooks, and doing vocals for over 11 years. Quality music with staying power comes with maturity. I hope that you enjoy listening to the voice of my old soul.
