I love music. I have absolutely no musical talent. One thing I do know is what I like - which is dynamic to say the least. I enjoy the sounds of Pet the Dog, The Swell, Jack Johnson, Blind Melon, The White Stripes, Jefferson Airplane, Theavery Corporation, Balkan Beat Box, Madonna, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Old Crow Medicine Show, Interpol, Ben Harper, Shakira, any classical, Norah Jones, and electronic grooves...
I love Peter Saragaard, so I therefore love movies with him in them. I prefer comedies and action movies, but after living in LA for a couple years, my scope regarding movie appreciation widened by a large margin. Hero is one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful movie I have ever seen.. City of God is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Hot Shots and Robin Hood, Men in Tights are two absolute favorites, as well as any other movie with Mel Brooks' name attached to it. Really enjoyed Garden State (and not just because P-Gaard was in it) and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I have seen so many movies now (thanks to a wonderful person in LA) that I have trouble recalling them without prompting.
I don't watch television.BUTIf I should find myself watching television, I would hope to be seeing Scrubs, Arrested development, Malcolm in the Middle or reruns of Coupling (the BBC version).
I love books. Anything by Sharon Kay Penman, Dan Brown, and newly: Christopher Moore. Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff was one of the funniest books I have ever read. Historical fiction is always a way to get my attention, and historical biographies as well. Read "The Judgement of Paris" by Ross king - very well written and interesting. Also loved Bohemian Paris by Dan Franck about the artists and writers living in Paris at the turn of the century, read John Krakauer's "Under the Banner of Heaven" not too long ago as well. I'm a big fan of Poe, both his stories and poems. Enjoy Shakespeare but prefer watching his plays to reading them. The Source by James Mischner is a book that absolutely sucked me in. So that is me on books, in brief.
Madonna. Seriously. She is who she is with no apologies.
