About Me

I am the giver and grateful receiver of my own fulfillment- and believe in sharing and generosity. I belive in the spirit of revolution, in change, and new ideas. I believe, like Abraham Lincoln, that nearly anyone can withstand adversity, but that character is tested with power. I believe that we have more in common biologically, geneologically, emotionally, philosophically, politically, sexually, and spiritually than we give ourselves credit for. I believe in choice, honesty, and fair mindedness- both ways. I believe we enjoy playing the victim, and should do it less often. I believe in responsibility over blame. I believe in the golden rule as opposed to hammurabi's code. I believe in lengthy conversations instead of sound bites. I believe in compromise. I believe in laughter- even when its taboo. I believe it is possible for two opposing people or ideas to be right. I believe in the truth of knowing nothing as opposed to creditentials. I believe that you can love a stranger unconditionally. I believe in the goodness of humanity.

My Interests

I love to learn! I have a passion for knowledge; and am a true philosopher! Critical, open, and pressed. I love to smile and laugh. I love to travel! There isn't a feeling quite like arriving in a foreign town. You're curious and wide-eyed; and everything looks beautiful and romantisized.I love to meet new people, and I love learning about different ways of life! I just want to know what it means to be human, in all of its AMAZING varities! Learning about other customs, beliefs, and norms challenges your own. It makes you appreciate, it helps you learn, but most importantly; it teaches you the value of your fellow human being!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can accept me as a whole person, who's willing to teach, and who's willing to learn.

Music:

Led Zepplin, The beatles, Creedence Clearwater, Janis, The Who, Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Jamie Cullum, Norah Jones, Jackson 5, Alanis Morissette, Aritha Franklin, Bob Marley, The Peacemakers/ The Refreshments, Incubus, coldplay, Hairspray soundtrack, and anything my sister sings.

Movies:

Amalie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mean Girls, Love Actually, Tommy Boy, What the Bleep do we Know, Any Will Ferrel movie, etc.

Television:

If that's what you're into cool....for me...I'm better off reading a book.

Books:

I love to read, so any freaken book I can get my hands on I'll love. Who can pick a favorite (and if you love to read, you'll know what I mean). I'm one of those nerdy types.

Heroes:

I tend to subscribe to the school of thought that there is an admirable quality or characteristic that everyone posesses. However, having the limited ability to KNOW everyone, I'm forced (but not in a negative way) to recognize heroic qualities in only those closest to me. My heroes include, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: my father, who is amazingly patient, calm, and caring. He has a childlike grace to him that brings you comfort and laughter all at the same time! My mother, who has an amazing strength that only those closest to her truly understand. She is an amazing parent, and is extremely understanding! My sister, who is the least judgemental person I have ever met. She gets along with everyone and anyone....and she also has the awesome creative ability to make you laugh........a kind of deep, straight out your belly laugh! She also is very, very, very honest and respectable! She's not one that has to prove anything to anyone....she doesn't need notches in her belt, or validation. She will always do what she thinks is right, and gives the best advice ever because she won't always tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to. She's able to relate to everyone, is respected by all who truly know her, and she has the biggest heart in the world!!!! My brother who is so witty, and goofy, determined and courageous. He is able to constantly rise to any challenge....and he does it in a different singlet each time! He is absolutely amazing and doesn't give up on anything! He's smart, and funny, and sensitive, and brave! My best friend Katie: Katie is a person who just by being in her presence makes you glow. She has the unique capability to draw the calmest qualities out of me, and I always leave her side feeling more peaceful and at home with myself. She makes me aware of my buddha nature, and she makes me think and enjoy everything around me. She is my true soul mate, my fellow earth baby, and light worker, and she brings my light out and helps me to recognize it in others. For that, she is amazing!
