I never really found that one thing that interested me so much that I devoted a large amount of time and effort into it. I listen to music constantly and have tried to learn the piano and guitar. I try to paint and draw. I really enjoy taking pictures. I enjoy these things, but wouldn't say I'm good at any of it. I watch movies as much as I can. I like to read when I have time. I'm lucky in that all of my friends are crazy, intelligent, and talented people. I also enjoy collecting Japanese capsule and vinyl toys. My favorites are my Fafi girls. I also like T-shirts for Threadless.com. I like shopping at Goodwill for coffee mugs and other ugly glassware, pictures, figures, and paintings. Oh and discount shopping. I'll buy the most useless crap just because it's on clearance.
So I could bed him and then have him cook me some dinner while we smoke cigarettes and drink beer. And my girl
My favorite album of all time is "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel. I don't know what it is about that album. It's so damn depressing and nostalgic. No other album puts me in the mood that this album does. Have a listen. My husband and I (mostly my husband) have a CD collection of about 4,000. I'm not bragging, but it's hard to remember all of the great albums and bands I have heard over the years. This is a listing of a few in no particular order... Tom Waits, Velvet Underground, Rilo Kiley, Nick Drake, Steely Dan, BOC, Neko Case, The Decemberists, Metric, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Faint, Clutch, PJ Harvey, Tori Amos (when she was good), Belle and Sebastiasn, Jeff Buckley, The Kinks, Les Savy Fav, Love, Modest Mouse, Liz Phair (when she had a potty mouth), Sleater-Kinney, The Smiths, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Weezer (before the green album), Wilco, Built to Spill, and many more....
One of my best friends, Chris Green, is to thank for turning me on to many great films and directors. Another friend, Shayne Barker is responsible for turning me on to Woody Allen, for which I am eternally grateful.
I just finished the first season of Desperate Housewives and enjoyed it very much. Other shows I could watch repeatedly...Cops, Dog the Bounty Hunter, The Young Ones, Faulty Towers, Father Ted, Sex and the City (I can't help it), Freaks and Geeks, Buffy, Angel, Stargate SG1, Farscape, Absolutely Fabulous, Dead Like Me, Deadwood, and Lost.
I love The World According to Garp by John Irving, Lamb by Christopher Moore, Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenes, The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlene Harris, The Idiot Girl's Action Adventure Club by Laurie Notaro, Wicked and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Magiure, and anything by Shel Silverstein.
