About Me

The name is Marcus Rotella, but most people call me Meatball (or some variation of the word). I’ve had the nickname since my freshman year of high school and I don’t think it will ever go away. I'm a huge movie geek. I enjoy all genres, but some more than others. I'm also a massage whore. I love to crack jokes, but I can be serious when I need to be. I can be very sarcastic and cynical at times, but I'm actually an eternal optimist. I'd do just about anything for the people I care about. Admittedly, I'm extremely blunt, pretty stubborn, and quite the obsessive compulsive.
I know a lot, but I don't know everything (and neither do you). I'm what you would probably call straight edge. That means that I abstain from the use of tobacco, alcohol, and any other recreational drugs. I don't necessarily think I'm any better than you because of it. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the winter of 2003. I don't talk about it much, but if you have any questions about it, don’t hesitate to ask. I refuse to wear make-up and/or girl pants which leads me to believe I'm not superficial enough for the general public... but I'll survive.
My dream is to work in the film industry, but I'd settle for doing nearly anything as long as I'm entertaining people. If you'd like video work of any kind done, let me know. I've filmed/edited everything from rock bands to weddings. Lately I've been getting into HTML and still photography as well. No matter what the current layout of this page might be, I did it myself. If you need help setting up your page or want me to do it, I'm not hard to find. If you want to contact me, just message here or if you have AIM, my screen name is meatball81085.

I'd like to meet:

In life? Anyone and everyone as long as they're not the type to let stupid, petty everyday bullshit bring them down. People who know that although things might be bad, they could be a hell of a lot worse and should count their blessings. Those who understand that in most cases, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I would also like to meet my one and only, if she's actually out there...

I don't think of this site as some sort of popularity contest. I won't add you for the sake of increasing the size of my friends list. I'll only add you if I know you personally or if I'm a fan of yours. In other words, if I don't know you and you had to seek me out, I want nothing to do with you. Don't bother wasting either of our time.

The reasons why water blows...1. It tastes like shit. 2. It gets everything wet. 3. It ruins things that rely on electricity. 4. Why not just drink Gatorade or something that actually tastes good. 5. ...

Just doing my part to end all stupid bulletins.

This is not aimed at anyone directly. It is more of a generalization that is meant to be an equal opportunity offender. On that note, enjoy!MySpace is not shutting down. It makes way too much money fr...

"It's hard to take positive steps when you've burned the bridge you have to walk across."

What have I been up to lately? Not too much really. My life is work, school, and hanging out for violent game nights with flat mates lol.   Went to the Stemm CD release show on the twelfth, whic...

It was my summer of lust and now winter is approaching and all I want to do is hibernate.

Haven't been in the mood to write lately, but I figure I might as well update anyone who cares. In the last month and a half since I wrote a blog, I've basically been doing the same routine.   I...

This past Friday, I went to see Glassline play at Palmeri's. I brought Ashlee along because she was feeling down. Did my best to cheer her up. It was good to see Matt and Co. like usual... wish I...
