About Me

I am a wife and first time mother. My family is my life and my friends a very close second. I am a hopeless romantic and complete idealist (which sometimes drives my realist husband completely nuts).
You scored as Deer. You are the Deer. You tend to be very gentle with other animals of your domain and are also considered the innocent one, which is a good thing. You tend to be able to perceive more than others, which is a handy skill.

My Interests

I enjoy crafting; and while I enjoying trying new crafts, my favorites are crochet, scrapbooking and stained glass. I also enjoy cooking with my husband. Experimenting in the kitchen and hosting dinner parties to show off our new culinary creations is one of our favorite passtimes.

Music:

I like a little bit of just about every kind of music - rap, country, techno, rock, classical - though I tend to lean more toward 80s rock and classical. Some of my favorite groups:

Movies:

I am a hopeless romantic, so top on my movie list are romantic comedies, musicals, classics and Disney. Some of my all time favorites are Fiddler on the Roof, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Daddy Long Legs, The Mirror Has Two Faces, The Lion in Winter, Sleeping Beauty and the Cat from Outer Space.

Television:

I don't really like TV all that much. I would prefer to read. That being said, it's much easier to watch TV when you're trying to entertain a baby than it is to read a book! When I'm home alone (therefore have control of the remote) I like cooking shows and just about anything on HGTV and DIY Network. When my husband is home, I watch whatever he has on. Some of the shows I've actually found a bit addicts on NCIS, House, Stargate and Stargate Atlantis.

Books:

I just finished a book called "The Jane Austin Book Club" which I found suprisingly entertaining and might even read again. I love fairytales and have been collecting them since I was little. Other than that, I'll read just about any fiction book you set in front of me (I guess that's what happens when you majored in English). And I have to admit that I have a soft spot for a trashy romance novel once in a while too.

Heroes:

As mushy as it sounds, my heros are my parents and my husband. My parents didn't go to college and recognized how important it was for my brother and I to get an education and did whatever they could to make sure we got the eductation we needed and wanted. They have taught me to appreciate the need for family and friend, that you have to work hard to get what you want and that anything you don't work hard for probably isn't worth having. My husband...he is my rock. He has the strength to let me be who I am and sometimes knows better than me what I CAN be and encourages me to become that.
