About Me
Guitarist, percussionist, poet, singer/songwriter, Kohath started performing in 1996. With his rhythmic energy & inner emotions first spreaded his ability to perform & groove at, Raves, night clubs, partys & drum circles on percussion. He joined acouple bands of New Haven, CT. Boggie Chillin, who he's still performing with & having gigs at private party's, weddings & middle schools. Kohath also went on the road with a band called Mighty Purple, their great performers & good original musicians. In 1997, Kohath started writing his own personal music. Returned back to his first guitar, his father, Peter Fusco, bought him back in 1992. He learned & retaught himself jazzy chords & different world'ly movement flow rhythms. His music is very energetic, spiritual, intellectual impact & carry a glimse to your heart to fulfill and create feelings of within. Kohath's mother Elenna Beck, taught him to start singing at the age of four. Elenna got him listening to jazz, funk, soul, disco & took Kohath to her rehearsals in the early 80's. Kohath returned back to New Haven, Ct. from San Diego, Ca. in 2000. He searched and found great musicians to start his own band, "The Uplift Ensemble". A dynamic five piece group performing Kohath's original unique blend of Funk Fusion, Soul, Samba, Reggae & organic groove world music. Last year in 2006, Kohath performed on half time to 20 thousand people, in the arena of Mohegan Sun Casino, for WNBA's Conn. Sun basketball game. He played percussion for an excellent singer/songwriter MTV star Javier. Back in 2003 Kohath took grand prize, first place, in the arena of Mohegan Sun, talent show. He then performed at Foxwoods Casino, BETSY's talent show. He's spirit took control & offered a gift for all to share. For winning the competition of 2003, Kohath was asked to perform the last song of the 2004 talent show. He then asked his piano player Freddy Di'Leone to join the gig, and they rocked out to a standing ovation in the Mohegan Sun arena. When you see a flyer of a show of "Kohath & The Uplift Ensemble" cruise to the gig, listen & be moved to interact, interconnect & feel the harmonious pleasure to dance and sing along.
