Before DJ FROSTY ICE was rocking out clubs in the USA and Europe or doing mix tapes in New York , he was just a B-Boy with his crew The FloorBreakers, a kid from Flatbush Brooklyn. By the time he was 7 yrs old, Frosty Ice was introduced to the turntables by his uncle Camilo who used to spin all the Disco/Funk music in the 70’s and soon after he wanted to start learning how to dj like the Legendary Hip-Hop Dj’s GrandMaster Flash,Red Alert,Marley Marl,Afrika Bammbaatta , and his idol Jam Master Jay(R.I.P) and also watching DJ PREMIER when he used to go by the name of Cut Master C who used to stay right across the street from his house.....
Dj FROSTY ICE started collecting vinyl in the early 80’s and today his record collection is almost 86,000 records, he bought his first set of Techniques in 86’. In 1987 DJ Frosty Ice started doing mixtapes and dropping them all over his high school for his friends. What was soon to follow was no simple endeavor. Dj FROSTY ICE was with his first dj crew call the FBI and began doing parties all over the city and doing mostly house parties where ever they got hired to play music for the people every month and quickly made a name for himself. Soon after his crew broke up but he kept going with his music, DJ FROSTY ICE broke into the club scene and began playing at some of the hottes clubs..
By 1991, DJ FROSTY ICE had established himself as a dominant mixtape DJ and was playing in at least 3 to 4 clubs a week. He hooked up with another dj from another crew when he moved to Houston and they created The Houston All Star DJ’s, who was already known and recognized by the name of Ron E G from the Underground Crew..Dj Ron E G began introducing him to other top dj’s and the All Star DJ’s began rocking some of the biggest events in the 90’s . This was a milestone for DJ FROSTY ICE , being able to spin with THE ALL STAR DJ"S and be heard by listeners throughout the entire dirty south area...
DJ FROSTY ICE , DJ RON E G, DJ BABY JAY,DJ KLEAN KUT,DJ JASON S AND CANDY GIRL rock the club scene and had some of the biggest party events in the 90"s and today they are still rocking the radio/club scene and DJ ROSTY ICE is back home in NYC and is getting ready to drop a massive volume set of mix cd’s from his hip-hop record collection to all the people from all over the world.
Dj FROSTY ICE has done work in the past at KBXX 97.9 The Box,Hot 97.1, Party 104.9,KKSS 97.3,WDCU 90.1,100.7 House Party ........At the moment DJ FROSTY ICE is traveling back to Europe and soon to ASIA....He has dj in Mexico, Puerto Rico, London,Madrid,Germany,Panama,Belgium,and Holland.
Keep ur eyes out as DJ FROSTY ICE drops a series of mixtapes call "REWIND BRING IT BACK" wich will be nothing but classic hip-hop music for ur ears..
DJ FROSTY ICE also went and started doing production with his partner John Kano a well know house producer and became part of the HAVANA HOODZ on AV8 RECORDS home of The Crooklyn Clan, Sticky N The Hoodz, Fat man Scoop, Armand Van Helden, and made some classic party anthems that djs today rock in the clubs and on the radio....
Dj Frosty Ice has work with ISLAND Records,DEF JAM RECORDS, MERCURY RECORDS, PRIORITY RECORDS doing retail/radio/club promotions
Dj Frosty Ice has also been the Marketing Manager for Sunkist Sunlab Tour in NYC (2004/2005) and the dj for the tour in TX..plus the Marketing Manager for Mount Dew/ AND1 TOUR
