A New Honour is a band that isn’t afraid to work hard to get what they want. Hailing from Winnipeg, MB, the band has gained local acclaim selling out shows around the city. Recently the band has earned a spot on Power 97’s Class of 2007 CD, a project that features Winnipeg’s five best bands annually. William Prince, Dann Mitchell, Chris de Monye and Jeremy Yuen, are currently recording their debut, full length album ‘The Untitled Truce’ with Jason Gordon (Driver) and Paulo Neta (Hurst, Econoline Crush) at Studio 11 in Winnipeg, MB. Among the 14 songs on the album, it is evident that many stand out. ‘Artificial’, is a song portraying how everyday people strive to attain material possessions, instead of appreciating the more meaningful things in life.
One of the most impressive facts about the band is their age. All being under 24 years old, and the youngest member being 19, the band can only grow stronger in time. Writing songs since the age of 15, William’s talents have improved significantly within the past few years. With lyrics that flow effortlessly alongside well-constructed guitar riffs, the band has become one of the most played unsigned rock bands on PureVolume.com, and is climbing the charts on MySpace.
Now here in Winnipeg is a developing new force in alternative music. With a growing fan base ranging from teens to their parents, A New Honour is a band very likely to achieve success.
