Jerami

When Jerami Matlock set out from his hometown of San Diego, California to pursue a career in music, he did not know how diverse his experience would be. He was a member of the world-renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers. While a member of this group he toured extensively in the U.S. and in Italy. Jerami holds a B.A. degree from Fisk University, with a major in music and concentration in voice. He is in demand as a vocalist and pianist in several genres of music including jazz, r&b, gospel, and classical. Mr. Matlock will soon release his self-written and produced debut CD named "MusicLife". "The music on this project is soul driven with exciting grooves," says Jerami. All of the music on the MusicLife project will be handcrafted. It will include a mixture of soul, jazz, raggae, afro-cuban, hip-hop, funk, and gospel. All of these styles will be blended with a neo-soul container. The project will talk about love, righteosness, spirituality, heartbreak, and just having a good time.
