I am here for Friends

About Me

I am a fallen person just trying to make it in a fallen world. I usually do pretty well, but I can't honestly say I do the best I can. I have seen more death and hell than anyone should have to see, but some how it made me a better man. I live a pretty simple life, but not really a quiet one. I have travelled a little here, and a little there. I intend on going more places as life continues. I think there is always someone or somewhere else that God wants us to see. God is (and has been) good to me. I am blessed in more ways than I can list here. I know He is the reason that I, a fallen man in a fallen world, can live and be joyful each day.

My Interests

Serving God the way I think he wants me to despite what others say. Traveling. Taking adventures (hiking, skydiving, etc.). Staying fit through one method or another.

I'd like to meet:

Other fallen people. Not because I will share in your missery, but because I want to help lift and build you up in a loving, non-judgmental way.

Music:

Wow, where do I begin. I love music and the idea of music. I like nearly everything from Billy Joel to Billy Idol; from Dr. Dre to Plain White T's; from Firehouse to Michael W. Smith; and from Casting Crowns to Inner Circle. I guess I just love good music.

Movies:

Manly Movies: Patton, 300, We Were Soldiers, Glory, Black Hawk Down.Less Manly Movies: The Notebook, 1776, Hitch, Shark Tale.Spiritual Movies: The Passion of the Christ, Facing the Giants, Luther, The Miracle Maker.

Television:

I don't watch much TV because most of it is a waste of time, but I do watch a ton of movies (way more than I could list above).

Books:

The Bible, Blue Like Jazz, Wild at Heart, The Book of Honor, American Soldier (by Tommy Franks), The Afghan Campaign, The Purpose Driven Life, The Guns of August, Let's Roll, The American Agent, and many more.

Heroes:

My dad (for too many reasons), Drill Sergeant Noonan (for some sick, twisted reason), Todd Beamer (google him), General George S. Patton, and then there's my mom (for reasons I will keep to myself).
