With their no-nonsense attitude, great stage presence, excellent material and Woods’ standout vocal, The Abbots proved one of the strongest bands of the evening. A set full of great, memorable songs; they’ve got some exceptional material, intelligently written, guitar fuelled anthems-in-the-makings. A sound that’s pure indie-rock n roll, they’ve managed to carve out their own fresh, exciting direction, and it really works and should see them go far.
