Might be nice to stay, but if I stay I won't stay nice.

About Me

I enjoy jet-skiing, raquetball, long, cold nights snuggled by a fire and prying freedom back from the man's cold and lifeless digits. Then having some thunderbird.

My Interests

love and loss and loss.

I'd like to meet:

people who define themselves according to the country they live in, the sports team they root for or the religon they practice and who de-emphasize the importance of personal accomplishments.

Music:

Besides GWAR, my favorite musicians right now are... God Speed You! Black Emperor, Etta James, Rufus Wainwright, The Mars Volta, Sufjan Stevens, Edith Piaf, Baby Huey and the Baby Sitters, Radiohead and Le Tigre.

Movies:

I do not voluntarily think about movies. They have grafted themselves into my mind and have colonized the way i see and interact with the world. I'm glad that Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Miller's Crossing, Hurley Burley, The Last Emperor, Cape Fear, City of God, The Corporation, Dr. Strangelove, Donnie Darko, The Big Lebowski, Happiness, Storytelling, Waking life, A Clockwork Orange, and Lost in Translation are somewhere in there, ruling my every thought.

Television:

I sometimes disconnect the antenna (I don't have cable) and try to find patterns in the static like breakdancing dragon flies or squirrels getting it on.

Books:

As a citizen of the United States, I have no earthly business reading for pleasure. The last few books I've read have been walking the black cat (simic), ana historic (marlatt), the little prince, artists in times of war (zinn), the subject of semiotics (silverman), a people's history of the u.s. (zinn), the 18th Brumiere of Louis Bonepart (Marx), Capital (Marx), War, Evil and The End of History (Levy), A History of Labor in the U.S. (I forget). When I sin I read Tom Robbins, Milan Kundera, Don Dellilo or Robert Heinlien.I'm currently reading opening mexico and the name of the rose (which is by umberto eco and amazing)

Heroes:

Harry Belafonte. Leave my page immediately and wikipedia him. He's amazing.

JOANNA

She tore the stillness from the air by my ears. Her voice found my coldest memory- danced there until it melted and slid from my eyes like the mists at a hurricane's outermost lip. This storm is a ni...
