About Me

I am 25 years old, married to the coolest man in the world (excuse me, universe) and mom to the coolest little man in the world. We are currently expecting our 2nd baby, a little girl, due in late June/early July. I have a strong passion for Pregnancy and Childbirth and work as a Doula and educator in the St. Louis area. I am currently the business manager for a small company that provides maternity and prenatal care, such as Education (hypnobirthing, newborn care, lactation, etc), Doulas, Chiropractic Care and Massage.

My Interests

I love to play outside, however life does not often allow me the opportunity. I also love playing with my boys and knitting. I have become a bit of a homebody. I guess that is what marriage and babies does to a girl :)Yes, I have been to the Corn Palace

I listen to a lot of different types of music, depending on my mood. Some of my favorites include... The Unicorns, The Decemberists, Bright Eyes, From Autumn to Ashes, The Reverend Horton Heat, Nekromatix, Three Blue Teardrops, the Mekons, International Noise Conspiracy, flogging molly, ben folds, george clinton, johnny cash, hank williams, prince, david bowie, avenged sevenfold....

Movies:

Labyrinth is the greatest movie of all time... as well as the goonies, anything with Angelina Jolie in it, american history X, Orgazmo, any Troma film, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, I heart huckabees, nightmare before christmas, edward scissorhands, pretty much any tim burton film...Crash, V for Vendetta, Obviously the Spiderman movies

Television:

I watch way too much television

Books:

I read a lot of stuff... Toni Morrison is cool, John Fante rocks, love the classics like Frankenstein (cry every time), Wuthering Heights... Been finding it more difficult to read lately though. I am too consumed with the daily happenings of a mom who works full-time right now. I have been trying to change that though and am currently reading Darwin's Bloack Box, along with about 10,000 pregnancy books

The Final Countdown
